Very good show
I think his Ic run being so long hurt him as a credible world champion. It’s like he fought all the same guys and crushed them for a mid card belt now we are supposed to believe they are an actual challenge to him as a world champion? Lol when they took the intercontinental title off of him they should have moved him to SmackDown and put a new list of challengers in front of him. And moved Cody and the WWE championship to raw
Very good episode,
imagine being deluded enough to think a multi billion dollar company with guys who literally have wrestling in their blood hot shoted a heel turn storyline because they booked themselves into a corner. are you serious dude? that is the most ridiculous thing i have read in a minute lol. good luck bro.
Great episode.
Punk/Cody was there for the taking and Cena could’ve gone up against Gunther.
They knee jerked a heel turn because they booked themselves into a nepotism corner
Very good show
honestly don’t get the hate. like sure, there’s no major story here YET. But Punk/Rollins/Reigns has a lot of potential to be a high quality match. I’m legit looking forward to it and love that these three have wound up in a match together.
Great episode.
The triple threat match between them at Wrestlemania is gonna be awesome. Super stoked for this match
Great show
Let’s mention the women’s match in every live/hate challenge. Easiest task for this group of “journalists” ever. Each one of these love/hates are more embarrassing than the last. We get it, women’s wrestling is amazing and should main event every show and if a women’s match is bad it’s because where it is on the card or the booking it’s never the talent, all the women are top tier wrestlers.
Very good show
You wanna find out who the real simps and shills are? Mark down anybody who defends that main event match! Even the diehard AEW fans are crapping on that main event. It was terrible.
This Moxley stuff is stinking out the entire show and the dude seems to think he is Brock Lesnar.
The sad part is that this wasn’t a terrible show overall and with all things taken into an account. But at the end of the day, a bad ending can ruin a whole show for a lot of people. “Game of Thrones season 8” style.
Great show
So the crux of it all is that the PLE started strong…then ended with a sour belch.
The fans most remember how you left them and the fans are going to remember this show with a resounding “bleh”!
And any casual fan who watched with their buddies who are more diehard fans, may have left the viewing saying aloud, “That guy was pretty good. He should go to WWE”.
Great show.
I’ve said before but I think one of the issues here is that Tony is a massive fan of NJPW and often looks to emulate their PPV card structure. NJPW cards typically build to a climax with the big matches back to back and tend not to feature cool down matches or spots. Problem is western audiences haven’t been conditioned for that over the last 40 years, so often results in burnout. Personally I would have laid out the card like below giving breathing spaces, opening with the Steel Cage match and building to the Hollywood Ending as the main event.
Storm vs. May
Mox vs. Cope
Hangman vs. MJF
Hurt Syndicate vs. Outrunners
Takeshita vs. Omega
Swerve vs. Ricochet
Okada vs. King
Mone vs. Watanabe
Ospreay vs. Fletcher
Great episode.
Very good show, but the ending is what people remember. WWE ended Elimination Chamber with a huge heel turn. AEW ended Revolution with that abominable ending.
it doesn’t totally undo a great show, but it might have done more harm than good.
Very good show
I can already see Trips the mark statues, Trips the mark with a 20 minutes speech, the camera focusing onTrips the mark every 30 seconds when he is on the crowd.
Great show.
I’m glad they are bringing it back to a nice venue. The idea of hosting it immediately after Smackdown is insane. Why not put a highlight show or broadcast the Hall of Fame instead of airing Smackdown that week.
best of the best
Very good show tonight

Battle in the Valley 2025: A Collision Course Set for San Jose
The echoes of shattering glass and roaring crowds still reverberate from last year’s Battle in the Valley, but the wrestling world never stands still. The relentless march of time brings us ever closer to another monumental clash, another night of unforgettable action, another chapter in the storied legacy of New Japan Pro-Wrestling in the United States. Battle in the Valley 2025 is looming on the horizon, and the anticipation is palpable. This isn’t just another wrestling show; it’s a cultural phenomenon, a convergence of styles, a testament to the enduring power of professional wrestling.
This preview isn’t about simply listing names on a card. It’s about delving into the potential storylines, the simmering rivalries, and the tantalizing possibilities that lie ahead. It’s about capturing the electric atmosphere that only NJPW can generate. So, buckle up, wrestling fans, because we’re about to embark on a journey into the heart of Battle in the Valley 2025.
The Landscape of NJPW Heading into 2025:
Before we dissect the potential matchups, it’s crucial to understand the context. Where will NJPW stand as we approach February 2025? This is a question with many variables, but we can make some educated predictions.
- The Reign of the Champions: Who will be holding the prestigious IWGP World Heavyweight Championship, the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship, and the other coveted titles? Will we see a dominant reign extending into the new year, or will we witness a changing of the guard? The title landscape will undoubtedly shape the main events of Battle in the Valley.
- Emerging Rivalries: The seeds of future feuds are often planted months in advance. Keep an eye on the closing months of 2024 for potential confrontations and betrayals that could ignite into full-blown rivalries by the time Battle in the Valley rolls around. Factions like Bullet Club, Los Ingobernables de Japon, and Just 5 Guys will likely play a key role in these developing storylines.
- The Rise of New Stars: NJPW is a breeding ground for exceptional talent. Every year, new stars emerge, capturing the hearts of fans with their incredible athleticism and compelling characters. Battle in the Valley could be the perfect stage for a breakout performance, catapulting a rising star into the main event scene.
Dream Match Scenarios: The Art of Speculation:
Now, let’s indulge in some good old-fashioned speculation. What dream matches could we see at Battle in the Valley 2025? Here are a few tantalizing possibilities:
- Kazuchika Okada vs. Will Ospreay (Rematch): These two modern-day masters have a storied history, delivering breathtaking performances time and time again. A rematch on American soil would be a guaranteed show-stealer. The intensity, the athleticism, the storytelling – it would be a wrestling masterpiece.
- SANADA vs. Tetsuya Naito: A clash of styles and personalities, this match would be a fascinating contrast. SANADA’s stoic demeanor against Naito’s charismatic arrogance would create a captivating dynamic. The in-ring action would be a blend of technical prowess and explosive offense.
- A US-Based Star Challenge for a Title: Imagine a rising American star stepping up to challenge for one of NJPW’s prestigious titles. This could be a huge moment for both the individual wrestler and the growth of NJPW’s presence in the United States. This match could be a way to create new fans and make a name for themselves.
The Importance of the Venue: San Jose’s Impact:
The setting for Battle in the Valley is crucial. San Jose has become a home away from home for NJPW, and the city’s passionate wrestling fans create an electric atmosphere. The venue itself adds to the spectacle, providing a grand stage for these world-class athletes to showcase their talents. The energy of the crowd fuels the performers, resulting in even more memorable moments.
Beyond the Matches: The Overall Experience:
Battle in the Valley is more than just a series of matches; it’s an experience. It’s the roar of the crowd, the anticipation in the air, the shared passion for professional wrestling. It’s the opportunity to witness some of the best wrestlers in the world competing at the highest level. It’s a celebration of the art form, a testament to the enduring appeal of sports entertainment.
The Road to Battle in the Valley 2025:
The journey to Battle in the Valley will be filled with twists and turns. There will be victories and defeats, alliances formed and broken, rivalries ignited and intensified. The months leading up to the event will be a whirlwind of excitement, building towards the ultimate climax in San Jose.
