WWE WrestleMania 41 (2025) Night 1 PPV Live Preview: The Grandest Stage Awaits

April 19th, 2025 – The Spectacle Begins!

The Stage is Set for WrestleMania 41 Night 1

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, wrestling fans of all ages—WrestleMania 41 is finally upon us! The Showcase of the Immortals returns for another two-night extravaganza, and Night 1 promises to deliver an unforgettable spectacle. On Saturday, April 19th, 2025, the WWE Universe will descend upon State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, for an evening of jaw-dropping action, shocking twists, and moments that will be etched in WrestleMania history forever.

With a stacked card featuring championship clashes, grudge matches, and dream encounters, WrestleMania 41 Night 1 is shaping up to be one of the most explosive installments in WWE history. So, let’s break down every confirmed match, analyze the rivalries, and predict what could go down under the bright lights of the Grandest Stage of Them All!

Confirmed Matches & Breakdowns

1. World Heavyweight Championship: Seth “Freakin” Rollins (c) vs. CM Punk – The Final Chapter?

The rivalry that has defined a generation reaches its climax.

For months, CM Punk and Seth Rollins have torn each other apart in a war of words, brawls, and mind games. After Punk’s shocking return to WWE in late 2024, he made it clear—he wanted the one title that has eluded him: the World Heavyweight Championship.

Rollins, the fighting champion who has carried the division on his back, refuses to let Punk walk in and take what he’s worked so hard to keep. With both men claiming to be the “Best in the World,” this match isn’t just about the title—it’s about legacy.

Prediction: Expect a 45-minute classic filled with near-falls, dramatic reversals, and possibly even interference from past rivals. Will Punk finally reclaim gold in WWE, or will Rollins cement himself as the undisputed workhorse of this era?

2. Women’s World Championship: Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Becky Lynch – The Man vs. The Eradicator

Two of WWE’s most dominant forces collide in a battle for supremacy.

Rhea Ripley has been an unstoppable force since capturing the Women’s World Championship, bulldozing through every challenger with her brutal strength and unrelenting aggression. But Becky Lynch, the ultimate opportunist, fought her way back to the top to earn this shot.

This is a clash of styles—Ripley’s raw power against Lynch’s technical mastery and resilience. With Judgment Day likely lurking at ringside, will Lynch overcome the numbers game, or will Ripley solidify her reign as the most dominant women’s champion of this generation?

Prediction: A show-stealing brawl with Lynch pushing Ripley to her absolute limit. Could we see a surprise return (Charlotte Flair?) to tip the scales?

3. Intercontinental Championship: Gunther (c) vs. Ilja Dragunov – The Ring General’s Greatest Test

A hard-hitting, European strong-style war for the ages.

Gunther’s historic Intercontinental Championship reign has been nothing short of legendary, but Ilja Dragunov is the one man who has pushed him to the brink before (see: their classic in NXT UK). Now, on the grand stage of WrestleMania, these two warriors will unleash pure violence.

This won’t be a wrestling match—it will be a fight. Chops, stiff strikes, and suplexes that shake the ring. Dragunov’s relentless energy against Gunther’s methodical brutality.

Prediction: A Match of the Night contender that could finally dethrone Gunther… or prove once and for all that he is untouchable.

4. The Rock & Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes & ??? – The Ultimate Wildcard

The Bloodline’s war reaches its boiling point.

After months of mind games, betrayals, and chaos, The Rock and Roman Reigns stand united against Cody Rhodes—but Cody isn’t walking into this alone. The big question: Who is his mystery partner?

Rumors are swirling:

  • John Cena? (Final WrestleMania moment?)
  • Stone Cold Steve Austin? (One last stunner?)
  • Sami Zayn or Kevin Owens? (Former Bloodline foes?)

Whoever it is, this match will be pure electricity. The Rock’s first match in years, Roman’s dominance, and Cody’s quest for vengeance—this is storytelling at its finest.

Prediction: A wild, chaotic brawl with multiple swerves and a setup for Night 2’s main event.

5. United States Championship: Logan Paul (c) vs. LA Knight – YEAH! vs. The Maverick

Charisma, controversy, and chaos collide.

LA Knight has been on a warpath, demanding respect and finally getting his WrestleMania moment against the polarizing Logan Paul. Knight’s blue-collar grit against Paul’s athletic arrogance makes for a fascinating dynamic.

Paul’s high-flying antics and underhanded tactics will clash with Knight’s smash-mouth style. And with Paul’s entourage likely involved, will Knight overcome the odds and finally grab gold on the Grandest Stage?

Prediction: A surprisingly great match with Logan pulling out all the stops—but LA Knight’s time is now. YEAH!

6. Six-Pack Ladder Match for the Undisputed Tag Team Championships

High-flying, death-defying chaos.

The tag team division gets its WrestleMania spotlight in a Six-Pack Ladder Match featuring:

  • The Usos (Seeking redemption)
  • DIY (Ciampa & Gargano) (Underdog story)
  • The Creed Brothers (Brute strength)
  • Pretty Deadly (Unpredictable wildcards)
  • A-Town Down Under (Theory & Waller) (Smug opportunists)
  • The New Day (Veterans looking for one more run)

This will be absolute mayhem—ladders, broken bodies, and unforgettable spots. Who walks out with the gold?

Prediction: The Usos reclaim their throne, setting up a future clash with Solo Sikoa & Tama Tonga.

7. Rey Mysterio vs. Dominik Mysterio – Father vs. Son, One Last Time?

A family feud that never ends.

Dominik Mysterio has become one of WWE’s most hated heels, while Rey continues to fight for respect. With Judgment Day likely interfering, will Rey finally put his son in his place, or will Dom prove he’s truly surpassed his father?

Prediction: A emotional rollercoaster with Dom cheating to win—leading to Rey’s possible retirement.

Final Thoughts: Why WrestleMania 41 Night 1 Will Be Unmissable

From career-defining clashes to shocking returnsWrestleMania 41 Night 1 has all the ingredients to be an all-time great. The rivalries are personal, the stakes are sky-high, and the atmosphere will be electric.

Don’t miss it—Saturday, April 19th, 2025, LIVE on PPV!

Very good show

March 11, 2025

I think his Ic run being so long hurt him as a credible world champion. It’s like he fought all the same guys and crushed them for a mid card belt now we are supposed to believe they are an actual challenge to him as a world champion? Lol when they took the intercontinental title off of him they should have moved him to SmackDown and put a new list of challengers in front of him. And moved Cody and the WWE championship to raw

Ezra

Very good episode,

March 11, 2025

imagine being deluded enough to think a multi billion dollar company with guys who literally have wrestling in their blood hot shoted a heel turn storyline because they booked themselves into a corner. are you serious dude? that is the most ridiculous thing i have read in a minute lol. good luck bro.

Rowan

Great episode.

March 11, 2025

Punk/Cody was there for the taking and Cena could’ve gone up against Gunther.

They knee jerked a heel turn because they booked themselves into a nepotism corner

Hudson

Very good show

March 11, 2025

honestly don’t get the hate. like sure, there’s no major story here YET. But Punk/Rollins/Reigns has a lot of potential to be a high quality match. I’m legit looking forward to it and love that these three have wound up in a match together.

Willie

Great episode.

March 11, 2025

The triple threat match between them at Wrestlemania is gonna be awesome. Super stoked for this match

Gary

Great show

March 10, 2025

Let’s mention the women’s match in every live/hate challenge. Easiest task for this group of “journalists” ever. Each one of these love/hates are more embarrassing than the last. We get it, women’s wrestling is amazing and should main event every show and if a women’s match is bad it’s because where it is on the card or the booking it’s never the talent, all the women are top tier wrestlers.

Gerald

Very good show

March 10, 2025

You wanna find out who the real simps and shills are? Mark down anybody who defends that main event match! Even the diehard AEW fans are crapping on that main event. It was terrible.

This Moxley stuff is stinking out the entire show and the dude seems to think he is Brock Lesnar.

The sad part is that this wasn’t a terrible show overall and with all things taken into an account. But at the end of the day, a bad ending can ruin a whole show for a lot of people. “Game of Thrones season 8” style.

Frank

Great show

March 10, 2025

So the crux of it all is that the PLE started strong…then ended with a sour belch.

The fans most remember how you left them and the fans are going to remember this show with a resounding “bleh”!

And any casual fan who watched with their buddies who are more diehard fans, may have left the viewing saying aloud, “That guy was pretty good. He should go to WWE”.

Evelyn

Great show.

March 10, 2025

I’ve said before but I think one of the issues here is that Tony is a massive fan of NJPW and often looks to emulate their PPV card structure. NJPW cards typically build to a climax with the big matches back to back and tend not to feature cool down matches or spots. Problem is western audiences haven’t been conditioned for that over the last 40 years, so often results in burnout. Personally I would have laid out the card like below giving breathing spaces, opening with the Steel Cage match and building to the Hollywood Ending as the main event.

Storm vs. May

Mox vs. Cope

Hangman vs. MJF

Hurt Syndicate vs. Outrunners

Takeshita vs. Omega

Swerve vs. Ricochet

Okada vs. King

Mone vs. Watanabe

Ospreay vs. Fletcher

Willie

Great episode.

March 10, 2025

Very good show, but the ending is what people remember. WWE ended Elimination Chamber with a huge heel turn. AEW ended Revolution with that abominable ending.

it doesn’t totally undo a great show, but it might have done more harm than good.

Christian

Very good show

March 10, 2025

I can already see Trips the mark statues, Trips the mark with a 20 minutes speech, the camera focusing onTrips the mark every 30 seconds when he is on the crowd.

Oliver

Great show.

March 10, 2025

I’m glad they are bringing it back to a nice venue. The idea of hosting it immediately after Smackdown is insane. Why not put a highlight show or broadcast the Hall of Fame instead of airing Smackdown that week.
