DID YOU ENJOY AEW DYNAMITE ON SEPTEMBER 13TH 2023?
“ADDDDAAAMMMMMMM!!!”
Really wasn’t sure how this Dynamite would turn out but another amazing one after last week. Great pacing too.
– Loved the women’s 4-way. I understand it’s getting tired in that division but it was the best of the best from that division. Really fun to watch. Loved seeing Shida hype up a crowd and glad Toni won. Good development and time placement too. Need to see more of that direction.
– Really loved the Sammy/Jericho promo. Actually felt really genuine and built up the match incredibly well. I hope it’s the moment Sammy needs to take him to the next level.
– How is Hangman so constantly great. May have been the match of the night for me and him and Swerve are gold.
Wrestling is a soap opera and I fucking love it.
This week we had both Don Callis threaten to tear out Kenny Omega’s heart by going after Ibushi and Samoa Joe saying he’s going to take everything from MJF while choking out Adam Cole.
Swerve v Hangman
Pretty good stuff again, can’t wait for Swerve v Hangman
AEW has some fascinating characters right now
Christian Cage
Toni Storm
Roderick Strong
Gooood times.
Enjoyable show, maaaan. I dunno, I come to this sub and its all AEW death watching and schadenfreude lol. I’m out here enjoying the hell out of the majority of the weekly product. And that which I don’t enjoy wouldn’t exactly qualify as terrible. There’s several stories and wrestlers cooking right now, and that’s where my focus is.
lol Tomorrow I suspect Dynamite will NOT do better than NXT, and people will still be focused on whether or not touting paid attendance over turnstile attendance is duplicitous or not.
Maybe a match for Rampage grand slam?
I assume the OC and Hook interaction was setting something up, right?
MJF/Cole storyline out
I hope them stretching the MJF/Cole storyline out and interupting it with a Joe sidequest doesn’t hurt them in the long run by making people forget what was happening in the first place. Those segments were legitamate draws and the question of who was going to turn on who seems to have fallen by the wayside since Wembley.
Toni Storm and Roddy Strong fan
Feeling like the happiest Toni Storm and Roddy Strong fan in the world right now
Christian Cage is on one.
I’m continually surprised by how well he and Luchasaurus work together.
ADAMM! haha Roddy’s the best
Other than the Sammy/Jericho stuff, I am interested in all the stories that were being told tonight. One of their best episodes in a while imo.
I’m excited to see Jade back in action. She adds star power to the division that no one else has.
I appreciate Toni finally getting some shine, but man I am sick of the Outcasts/Originals constant matches. Wrap it up and let Toni interact with the rest of the roster. Loved her trying to take the spotlight away from Nyla, let them have a little feud!
Ospreay doesn’t count.
I think he needs to actually recruit someone else to his team though.
Since All Out AEW has been cooking!
There’s so much good stuff going on and every episode delivers.
GREAT show.
Garbage crowd!
Main event was wildly entertaining.
Main event was wildly entertaining. Taven & Bennett are S-tier stooges
HOOK have the right
Am I crazy or does HOOK have the right kind of vibe to join the best friends?
Dear Tony: fire your truck production, they’re fucking awful about that shit.
Pulled up the youtube clip of the womens 4 way and the first thing that happens is the camera zooms in on Shida as she’s talking to Toni in the corner.
GREAT episode with a lot of interesting angles coming out of it.
OC and Hook, Takeshita and Ibushi, and what’s going on with Garcia and Callis are super interesting plus this Hangman and Swerve feud is heating up nicely, would love to see this go on after wrestledream
Roddy finally is having a big storyline
It’s pretty cool that Roddy finally is having a big storyline that he caused rather than him doing what he did in NXT where he joined the Undisputed Era storyline for the ride.
Roddy kept yelling “ADAAM!!
Honestly, the more Roddy kept yelling “ADAAM!!”, while he was stretchered out, the funnier it got.
That dynamite is stacked.
Reminds me of the glory days of WCW where they give out PPV quality matches on TV.
Joe and Roderick Strong
Joe and Roderick Strong having a very good match in 2023 is so cool
Roderick Strong entertaining is this storyline
First time I’ve ever found Roderick Strong entertaining is this storyline. Not saying he’s ever been bad, just felt like the definition of average.
I’m seriously excited for Joe vs MJF.
Also if Toni Storm wasn’t already a 2-time champion I could easily see her winning it again at Grand Slam. On the other hand she is killing it with the character work atm so another big loss and who knows what the hell she is going to do.
AEW Rampage was lit
Jade vs Stat at Rampage was lit. Don’t miss it.
Realest characters in wrestling.
I absolutely love how the BCC are both heels and babyfaces at the same time. They work as faces vs. Starks/Big Bill, and the moment after are acting like heels vs. Penta/Rey/Eddie.
He could raise both titles up.
I’m just now realizing, Wardlow may make his return during the MJF/Joe match.
Kinda rooting for a Joe win.
Kinda rooting for a Joe win. AEW world title changes always seem to be pretty heavily telegraphed. It would be nice to have a surprise change. And it would make sense – does anyone really think MJF could beat Joe in a real fight? MJF could refuse to cheat and that costs him the match or something.
Christian so cool?
Why is Christian so cool? Why is Samoa Joe the scariest mfer in wrestling? Why is MJF learning math from Scott Steiner? Why is Roderick Strong so entertaining?
Samoa Joe losing weight
Is Samoa Joe losing weight? He seems smaller than when he left WWE.
Toni Storm looks
Toni Storm serving looks as always
AEW Dynamite Results: September 13, 2023
All Elite Wrestling returned to Wednesday nights with a stacked card for the September 13th episode of Dynamite. The show featured the finals of the Grand Slam World Title Eliminator Tournament, a fatal four-way match for the AEW Women’s World Championship, and a non-title match between Jon Moxley and Big Bill.
The AEW Grand Slam World Title Eliminator Tournament Finals
The main event of the evening was the finals of the AEW Grand Slam World Title Eliminator Tournament, pitting Roderick Strong against Samoa Joe. Both men had put on impressive performances throughout the tournament, and this was a match that was sure to deliver.
The match started off with a feeling-out process, as both men tried to get a read on each other. Strong eventually took control, using his technical wrestling skills to wear down Joe. However, Joe eventually turned the tide, using his power and aggression to take over the match.
The two men went back and forth, trading near falls. In the end, it was Joe who came out on top, hitting Strong with the Muscle Buster for the victory. With this win, Joe earned a shot at the AEW World Championship.
AEW Women’s World Championship Grand Slam Eliminator Fatal Four-Way
The other main event of the evening was a fatal four-way match for the AEW Women’s World Championship. The match featured Hikaru Shida, Nyla Rose, Dr. Britt Baker DMD, and Toni Storm.
The match was a chaotic affair, with all four women going all out. Shida and Rose started off the match, and they exchanged some hard-hitting offense. Baker and Storm then entered the match, and they quickly turned the tables on Shida and Rose.
The match eventually broke down into a brawl, with all four women fighting all over the arena. In the end, it was Storm who came out on top, pinning Baker to win the match and become the new AEW Women’s World Champion.
Other Results
In other matches on the card, Brian Cage defeated Adam Page, and Jon Moxley defeated Big Bill.
The show also featured a segment with Don Callis, who announced that he would be revealing his next masterpiece next week.
