Very good show

March 11, 2025

I think his Ic run being so long hurt him as a credible world champion. It’s like he fought all the same guys and crushed them for a mid card belt now we are supposed to believe they are an actual challenge to him as a world champion? Lol when they took the intercontinental title off of him they should have moved him to SmackDown and put a new list of challengers in front of him. And moved Cody and the WWE championship to raw

Ezra

Very good episode,

March 11, 2025

imagine being deluded enough to think a multi billion dollar company with guys who literally have wrestling in their blood hot shoted a heel turn storyline because they booked themselves into a corner. are you serious dude? that is the most ridiculous thing i have read in a minute lol. good luck bro.

Punk/Cody was there for the taking and Cena could’ve gone up against Gunther.

They knee jerked a heel turn because they booked themselves into a nepotism corner

honestly don’t get the hate. like sure, there’s no major story here YET. But Punk/Rollins/Reigns has a lot of potential to be a high quality match. I’m legit looking forward to it and love that these three have wound up in a match together.

Willie

Gary

Great show

March 10, 2025

Let’s mention the women’s match in every live/hate challenge. Easiest task for this group of “journalists” ever. Each one of these love/hates are more embarrassing than the last. We get it, women’s wrestling is amazing and should main event every show and if a women’s match is bad it’s because where it is on the card or the booking it’s never the talent, all the women are top tier wrestlers.

Gerald

Very good show

March 10, 2025

You wanna find out who the real simps and shills are? Mark down anybody who defends that main event match! Even the diehard AEW fans are crapping on that main event. It was terrible.

This Moxley stuff is stinking out the entire show and the dude seems to think he is Brock Lesnar.

The sad part is that this wasn’t a terrible show overall and with all things taken into an account. But at the end of the day, a bad ending can ruin a whole show for a lot of people. “Game of Thrones season 8” style.

Frank

Great show

March 10, 2025

So the crux of it all is that the PLE started strong…then ended with a sour belch.

The fans most remember how you left them and the fans are going to remember this show with a resounding “bleh”!

And any casual fan who watched with their buddies who are more diehard fans, may have left the viewing saying aloud, “That guy was pretty good. He should go to WWE”.

Evelyn

Great show.

March 10, 2025

I’ve said before but I think one of the issues here is that Tony is a massive fan of NJPW and often looks to emulate their PPV card structure. NJPW cards typically build to a climax with the big matches back to back and tend not to feature cool down matches or spots. Problem is western audiences haven’t been conditioned for that over the last 40 years, so often results in burnout. Personally I would have laid out the card like below giving breathing spaces, opening with the Steel Cage match and building to the Hollywood Ending as the main event.

Storm vs. May

Mox vs. Cope

Hangman vs. MJF

Hurt Syndicate vs. Outrunners

Takeshita vs. Omega

Swerve vs. Ricochet

Okada vs. King

Mone vs. Watanabe

Ospreay vs. Fletcher

Willie

Great episode.

March 10, 2025

Very good show, but the ending is what people remember. WWE ended Elimination Chamber with a huge heel turn. AEW ended Revolution with that abominable ending.

it doesn’t totally undo a great show, but it might have done more harm than good.

Christian

Very good show

I can already see Trips the mark statues, Trips the mark with a 20 minutes speech, the camera focusing onTrips the mark every 30 seconds when he is on the crowd.

Great show.

March 10, 2025

I’m glad they are bringing it back to a nice venue. The idea of hosting it immediately after Smackdown is insane. Why not put a highlight show or broadcast the Hall of Fame instead of airing Smackdown that week.

Dern vs. Ribas 2: A Rematch For the Ages – UFC Fight Night Preview (January 11, 2025)

The roar of the crowd, the electric tension in the air, the clash of titans in the Octagon – it’s all set to ignite once again as the UFC returns with a thrilling Fight Night on January 11, 2025. Headlining this explosive card is a rematch years in the making: Mackenzie Dern vs. Amanda Ribas 2. Their first encounter was a barnburner, a testament to the evolving landscape of women’s MMA, and this second chapter promises to be even more captivating. Get ready fight fans, because this is a showdown you absolutely cannot miss.

A History Revisited: The First Dance

To truly appreciate the magnitude of this rematch, we need to rewind to their first meeting. (While I don’t have access to specific fight details from the future, I can create a plausible scenario based on their known fighting styles and potential trajectories). Imagine a closely contested battle, a back-and-forth affair where Dern’s world-class jiu-jitsu was constantly threatened by Ribas’s relentless pressure and striking. Perhaps Ribas utilized her speed and movement to stay out of Dern’s grappling range, landing crisp combinations and frustrating the Brazilian’s attempts to take the fight to the ground. Conversely, maybe Dern found success in the clinch, showcasing improved wrestling and eventually securing a takedown, threatening with submissions that Ribas valiantly defended. The first fight, in this hypothetical scenario, was a razor-thin decision, a fight that could have gone either way, leaving fans clamoring for a rematch.

This is the narrative that fuels the anticipation for their second clash. It’s not just about two elite fighters stepping into the Octagon; it’s about settling unfinished business, about proving who has evolved and adapted more since their last encounter.

Mackenzie Dern: The Submission Specialist

Mackenzie Dern’s name is synonymous with world-class jiu-jitsu. Her grappling pedigree is undeniable, boasting multiple world titles in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. In the Octagon, she has consistently showcased her submission prowess, securing impressive victories with her signature armbars, rear-naked chokes, and other grappling techniques. Dern’s game plan is usually clear: take the fight to the ground and hunt for the finish. However, she has shown significant improvements in her striking, developing power and aggression on the feet. This evolution makes her a more well-rounded and dangerous opponent.

Heading into this rematch, the question is: has Dern further refined her striking to complement her grappling? Has she developed strategies to close the distance and avoid Ribas’s potential striking onslaught? If Dern can effectively blend her striking with her world-class ground game, she becomes an even more formidable force.

Amanda Ribas: The Well-Rounded Warrior

Amanda Ribas is a dynamic and versatile fighter with a well-rounded skill set. She possesses crisp striking, excellent movement, and a solid ground game. Ribas is known for her relentless pressure, constantly pushing forward and keeping her opponents on the back foot. Her striking is precise and powerful, and she is comfortable exchanging blows in the pocket. Furthermore, her takedown defense and ground awareness are constantly improving, making her a tough matchup for any opponent.

For Ribas, the key to victory in this rematch could be maintaining distance, utilizing her footwork and movement to avoid Dern’s grappling, and capitalizing on opportunities to land strikes. If she can successfully navigate the grappling exchanges and keep the fight standing, she has a strong chance of securing a victory.

The Keys to Victory: Analyzing the Matchup

This rematch is a fascinating clash of styles. Dern’s focus will undoubtedly be on taking the fight to the ground, where her submission skills can truly shine. Ribas, on the other hand, will likely aim to keep the fight standing, utilizing her striking and movement to dictate the pace.

Several key factors will likely determine the outcome:

  • Takedown Defense: Ribas’s ability to defend Dern’s takedowns will be crucial. If she can consistently stuff takedown attempts and keep the fight standing, she significantly increases her chances of winning.
  • Striking Exchanges: The striking exchanges will be a key area to watch. Ribas’s speed and precision will be tested against Dern’s improving power and aggression.
  • Grappling Scrambles: If the fight does go to the ground, the grappling scrambles will be intense. Both fighters possess solid ground skills, and the ability to control position and capitalize on submission opportunities will be vital.
  • Pace and Cardio: Both fighters are known for their high-paced fighting styles. Maintaining cardio throughout the fight will be essential, especially in the later rounds.

Beyond the Main Event: A Stacked Card

While Dern vs. Ribas 2 is undoubtedly the main attraction, the rest of the fight card promises to deliver its own share of excitement. (Again, as I’m predicting a future event, I’ll create some hypothetical, but plausible matchups). Imagine a co-main event featuring a rising star in the lightweight division taking on a seasoned veteran, or a thrilling welterweight clash between two knockout artists. These hypothetical matchups add depth and intrigue to the entire event, ensuring a night of non-stop action for fight fans.

The Anticipation Builds: A Must-Watch Event

The anticipation for Dern vs. Ribas 2 is palpable. It’s a rematch that has been brewing for years, a clash of two of the most exciting fighters in the women’s strawweight division. This isn’t just a fight; it’s a narrative, a story of rivalry, evolution, and the relentless pursuit of victory.

Mark your calendars, fight fans, because January 11, 2025, is a date you won’t want to miss. Get ready for an unforgettable night of action as Mackenzie Dern and Amanda Ribas step into the Octagon once again, ready to deliver a performance for the ages. This is more than just a fight; it’s a moment in MMA history in the making.
