WWE Dark SmackDown March 21st, 2025: A Night of Shadows, Surprises, and Unforgettable Action
The WWE Universe is buzzing with anticipation as the clock ticks down to one of the most enigmatic nights in professional wrestling: WWE Dark SmackDown on March 21st, 2025. While the main roster superstars prepare to light up the arena under the bright lights of Friday Night SmackDown, the Dark Matches—those untelevised bouts that take place before the cameras roll—promise to deliver a night of raw, unfiltered action. These matches are where future stars are born, rivalries are tested, and the unexpected becomes the norm.
For those unfamiliar, WWE Dark Matches are the hidden gems of the wrestling world. They’re the proving grounds for up-and-coming talent, the testing labs for new storylines, and the battlegrounds for unsanctioned grudge matches. And on March 21st, 2025, the Dark Matches of SmackDown are shaping up to be nothing short of spectacular.
So, let’s pull back the curtain and dive deep into what promises to be an unforgettable night of wrestling. From rising stars to shocking returns, here’s everything you need to know about the WWE Dark SmackDown March 21st, 2025 Dark Matches.
The Rising Stars: A Glimpse into WWE’s Future
One of the most exciting aspects of WWE Dark Matches is the opportunity to see the next generation of WWE superstars in action. These matches often feature talent from NXT, the Performance Center, and even independent wrestling circuits, giving fans a sneak peek at the future of the industry.
Match 1: Dante Chen vs. Malik Blade
Kicking off the night is a high-octane clash between two of NXT’s most promising athletes: Dante Chen and Malik Blade. Chen, the Singaporean sensation, has been making waves with his explosive in-ring style and undeniable charisma. Blade, on the other hand, is a technical wizard with a penchant for pulling off jaw-dropping maneuvers.
This match is more than just a showcase of talent—it’s a battle for supremacy. Both men are hungry to prove they belong on the main roster, and what better way to do that than by stealing the show before SmackDown even begins? Expect a fast-paced, hard-hitting contest that will leave the audience on the edge of their seats.
Match 2: Sol Ruca vs. Lash Legend
In the women’s division, Sol Ruca and Lash Legend are set to collide in what promises to be a clash of styles. Ruca, known for her high-flying antics and unorthodox offense, has been turning heads with her daredevil approach to wrestling. Legend, meanwhile, is a powerhouse with a chip on her shoulder, determined to prove that she’s the future of the women’s division.
This match is a perfect example of the diversity of talent in WWE today. Ruca’s agility and creativity will be put to the test against Legend’s raw strength and intensity. It’s a must-watch for anyone who loves women’s wrestling.
The Veterans: Proving They Still Have It
While the Dark Matches are often a platform for new talent, they’re also an opportunity for seasoned veterans to remind the world why they’re legends in the first place. On March 21st, two WWE icons will step into the ring to prove that age is just a number.
Match 3: Shelton Benjamin vs. MVP
In a battle of former tag team partners, Shelton Benjamin and MVP are set to reignite their rivalry in a match that’s sure to be a technical masterpiece. Both men are known for their in-ring psychology and ability to tell a story through their matches, and this one is no exception.
Benjamin, the “Gold Standard,” is as crisp and precise as ever, while MVP’s cunning and strategic mind make him a formidable opponent. This match is a throwback to the golden era of wrestling, where every move mattered and the stakes were always high.
Match 4: Natalya vs. Tamina
In the women’s division, Natalya and Tamina will face off in a battle of experience versus power. Both women have been pillars of the WWE women’s division for over a decade, and their match promises to be a hard-hitting affair.
Natalya’s technical prowess will be put to the test against Tamina’s brute strength, making for a fascinating clash of styles. This match is a reminder that the veterans still have plenty to offer, and they’re not ready to step aside just yet.
The Wildcards: Shocking Returns and Unpredictable Twists
One of the most thrilling aspects of WWE Dark Matches is the potential for surprises. Whether it’s a shocking return, an unexpected debut, or a twist that no one saw coming, the Dark Matches are where the unexpected becomes reality.
Match 5: The Mystery Opponent
Rumors have been swirling that a former WWE superstar will make their return during the Dark Matches on March 21st. While the identity of this mystery opponent is being kept under wraps, speculation is running rampant. Could it be a former world champion looking to reclaim their glory? Or perhaps an NXT standout making their main roster debut?
Whoever it is, their appearance is sure to send shockwaves through the WWE Universe. Keep your eyes peeled for this one—it’s going to be a moment you won’t want to miss.
Match 6: The Unannounced Tag Team Showdown
In what’s being billed as a “last-minute addition” to the card, an unannounced tag team match is set to take place. While details are scarce, whispers backstage suggest that this could be a preview of a major storyline set to unfold on SmackDown.
Will we see the formation of a new alliance? Or perhaps the dissolution of a longtime partnership? Whatever the case, this match is sure to have major implications for the future of WWE.
The Main Event: A Dark Match for the Ages
No WWE Dark SmackDown would be complete without a main event that leaves the audience talking long after the final bell has rung. On March 21st, the Dark Matches will culminate in a showdown that’s sure to be remembered as one of the best of the year.
Main Event: LA Knight vs. Grayson Waller
In a battle of charisma and cunning, LA Knight will go head-to-head with Grayson Waller in what promises to be an instant classic. Knight, the self-proclaimed “Megastar,” has been on a roll lately, captivating audiences with his mic skills and in-ring ability. Waller, meanwhile, is one of the most despised heels in WWE today, known for his arrogance and underhanded tactics.
This match is more than just a contest—it’s a clash of ideologies. Knight represents the old-school, no-nonsense approach to wrestling, while Waller embodies the new generation of superstars who will do whatever it takes to win. The tension between these two has been building for weeks, and it’s all set to explode on March 21st.
Why You Can’t Miss WWE Dark SmackDown March 21st, 2025

So, mark your calendars, set your reminders, and get ready for a night of unforgettable action. Because when the lights go down and the cameras stop rolling, the real magic happens.
Very good show
I think his Ic run being so long hurt him as a credible world champion. It’s like he fought all the same guys and crushed them for a mid card belt now we are supposed to believe they are an actual challenge to him as a world champion? Lol when they took the intercontinental title off of him they should have moved him to SmackDown and put a new list of challengers in front of him. And moved Cody and the WWE championship to raw
Very good episode,
imagine being deluded enough to think a multi billion dollar company with guys who literally have wrestling in their blood hot shoted a heel turn storyline because they booked themselves into a corner. are you serious dude? that is the most ridiculous thing i have read in a minute lol. good luck bro.
Great episode.
Punk/Cody was there for the taking and Cena could’ve gone up against Gunther.
They knee jerked a heel turn because they booked themselves into a nepotism corner
Very good show
honestly don’t get the hate. like sure, there’s no major story here YET. But Punk/Rollins/Reigns has a lot of potential to be a high quality match. I’m legit looking forward to it and love that these three have wound up in a match together.
Great episode.
The triple threat match between them at Wrestlemania is gonna be awesome. Super stoked for this match
Great show
Let’s mention the women’s match in every live/hate challenge. Easiest task for this group of “journalists” ever. Each one of these love/hates are more embarrassing than the last. We get it, women’s wrestling is amazing and should main event every show and if a women’s match is bad it’s because where it is on the card or the booking it’s never the talent, all the women are top tier wrestlers.
Very good show
You wanna find out who the real simps and shills are? Mark down anybody who defends that main event match! Even the diehard AEW fans are crapping on that main event. It was terrible.
This Moxley stuff is stinking out the entire show and the dude seems to think he is Brock Lesnar.
The sad part is that this wasn’t a terrible show overall and with all things taken into an account. But at the end of the day, a bad ending can ruin a whole show for a lot of people. “Game of Thrones season 8” style.
Great show
So the crux of it all is that the PLE started strong…then ended with a sour belch.
The fans most remember how you left them and the fans are going to remember this show with a resounding “bleh”!
And any casual fan who watched with their buddies who are more diehard fans, may have left the viewing saying aloud, “That guy was pretty good. He should go to WWE”.
Great show.
I’ve said before but I think one of the issues here is that Tony is a massive fan of NJPW and often looks to emulate their PPV card structure. NJPW cards typically build to a climax with the big matches back to back and tend not to feature cool down matches or spots. Problem is western audiences haven’t been conditioned for that over the last 40 years, so often results in burnout. Personally I would have laid out the card like below giving breathing spaces, opening with the Steel Cage match and building to the Hollywood Ending as the main event.
Storm vs. May
Mox vs. Cope
Hangman vs. MJF
Hurt Syndicate vs. Outrunners
Takeshita vs. Omega
Swerve vs. Ricochet
Okada vs. King
Mone vs. Watanabe
Ospreay vs. Fletcher
Great episode.
Very good show, but the ending is what people remember. WWE ended Elimination Chamber with a huge heel turn. AEW ended Revolution with that abominable ending.
it doesn’t totally undo a great show, but it might have done more harm than good.
Very good show
I can already see Trips the mark statues, Trips the mark with a 20 minutes speech, the camera focusing onTrips the mark every 30 seconds when he is on the crowd.
Great show.
I’m glad they are bringing it back to a nice venue. The idea of hosting it immediately after Smackdown is insane. Why not put a highlight show or broadcast the Hall of Fame instead of airing Smackdown that week.
best of the best
Very good show tonight
