AEW Collision Live 3/29/25: The Ultimate Preview of Wrestling’s Most Explosive Night
The clock is ticking, the stakes are rising, and the wrestling world is buzzing with anticipation. On March 29, 2025, All Elite Wrestling (AEW) returns with another electrifying edition of AEW Collision, promising to deliver a night of high-octane action, jaw-dropping moments, and unforgettable drama. For fans of professional wrestling, this is not just another event—it’s a collision of dreams, rivalries, and legacies.
As the date approaches, the excitement is palpable. AEW has built a reputation for delivering some of the most thrilling and unpredictable shows in the industry, and Collision on March 29 is shaping up to be no exception. From championship showdowns to personal vendettas, this event has it all. So, let’s dive deep into what makes this night so special, breaking down the matches, the storylines, and the potential surprises that could leave the wrestling world talking for weeks to come.
The Stage Is Set: What Makes AEW Collision Must-See TV?
AEW has consistently pushed the boundaries of professional wrestling, blending athleticism, storytelling, and spectacle in a way that resonates with both long-time fans and newcomers. Collision has become a cornerstone of AEW’s programming, offering a platform for both established stars and rising talent to shine.
The March 29 edition of Collision is particularly significant. Not only is it the final stop before the highly anticipated AEW Revolution pay-per-view, but it also serves as a battleground for several feuds that have been simmering for weeks—or even months. With rivalries reaching their boiling point and championships on the line, this night promises to be a turning point in AEW’s 2025 narrative.
Confirmed Matches and Storylines
Let’s break down the confirmed matches and the stories behind them, giving you a comprehensive preview of what to expect on March 29.
1. AEW World Championship Match: MJF (c) vs. Adam Cole
The rivalry between MJF and Adam Cole has been one of the most personal and intense in recent memory. MJF, the self-proclaimed “Devil” of AEW, has held the AEW World Championship for over a year, using every trick in the book to retain his title. But Adam Cole, the leader of the Undisputed Kingdom, has vowed to dethrone MJF and bring honor back to the championship.
Their match at Collision is more than just a title bout—it’s a clash of ideologies. MJF represents ego, manipulation, and self-preservation, while Cole embodies resilience, passion, and the pursuit of justice. With both men at the peak of their abilities, this match could easily steal the show.
Prediction: Expect a brutal, hard-fought contest with plenty of near-falls and outside interference. Will MJF’s cunning be enough to overcome Cole’s determination? Or will we see a new champion crowned?
2. AEW Women’s World Championship: Thunder Rosa (c) vs. Britt Baker
The storied rivalry between Thunder Rosa and Britt Baker reignites on March 29, as the two face off once again for the AEW Women’s World Championship. Their past encounters, including the legendary Lights Out match in 2021, have set the bar for women’s wrestling in AEW.
Thunder Rosa, the reigning champion, has been on a dominant run, showcasing her unique blend of lucha libre and hard-hitting strikes. But Britt Baker, the self-proclaimed “Face of the Women’s Division,” is determined to reclaim the title she believes is rightfully hers. With both women at the top of their game, this match promises to be a technical masterpiece with plenty of drama.
Prediction: This one could go either way, but don’t be surprised if Britt Baker uses her cunning and resourcefulness to walk away with the gold.
3. Tag Team Turmoil: The Young Bucks vs. FTR
The rivalry between The Young Bucks and FTR is the stuff of legend. These two teams have redefined tag team wrestling, each bringing their own unique style and philosophy to the ring. On March 29, they’ll collide once again in a match that could very well determine the future of AEW’s tag team division.
The Young Bucks, known for their high-flying, high-risk maneuvers, have been on a mission to prove that they are the greatest tag team of all time. FTR, on the other hand, pride themselves on their old-school, no-nonsense approach to wrestling. With both teams holding multiple championships across various promotions, this match is a clash of titans.
Prediction: Expect a fast-paced, action-packed match with plenty of drama. The Young Bucks may have the edge in athleticism, but FTR’s experience and ring psychology could give them the win.
4. TNT Championship Open Challenge: Samoa Joe (c) vs. ???
Samoa Joe has been a dominant force as the TNT Champion, issuing open challenges to anyone brave enough to step up. On March 29, he’ll put the title on the line once again, but the identity of his opponent remains a mystery.
Could we see a returning star answer the call? Or will an up-and-coming talent seize the opportunity to make a name for themselves? Whoever steps into the ring with Samoa Joe will have their work cut out for them, as the Samoan Submission Machine has been virtually unstoppable since winning the title.
Prediction: Samoa Joe retains, but the real story will be the identity of his challenger. Could this be the start of a new rivalry?
5. Grudge Match: CM Punk vs. Jon Moxley
The bad blood between CM Punk and Jon Moxley has been brewing for months, and it all comes to a head on March 29. These two veterans have taken very different paths in AEW, but their mutual disdain for each other has brought them to this moment.
Punk, the “Best in the World,” has been on a mission to prove that he’s still the top dog in AEW. Moxley, the unhinged brawler, has made it clear that he doesn’t respect Punk or his legacy. This grudge match is sure to be a brutal, hard-hitting affair, with both men willing to do whatever it takes to come out on top.
Prediction: This one could go either way, but expect plenty of chaos and outside interference. The real question is: will this be the end of their feud, or just the beginning?
Potential Surprises and Swerves
No AEW event would be complete without a few surprises, and Collision on March 29 is likely to deliver in spades. Here are a few possibilities:
- The Return of Kenny Omega: The Best Bout Machine has been absent from AEW programming for several months, but rumors of his return have been circulating. Could he make a shocking appearance to set up a future storyline?
- A New Faction Emerges: AEW has a history of introducing new factions at key moments. Could we see the debut of a new group that shakes up the landscape of the company?
- A Shocking Betrayal: With so many alliances and partnerships in AEW, it’s always possible that someone could turn on their friend or ally. Keep an eye on the Undisputed Kingdom and The Elite for potential betrayals.

Very good show
I think his Ic run being so long hurt him as a credible world champion. It’s like he fought all the same guys and crushed them for a mid card belt now we are supposed to believe they are an actual challenge to him as a world champion? Lol when they took the intercontinental title off of him they should have moved him to SmackDown and put a new list of challengers in front of him. And moved Cody and the WWE championship to raw
Very good episode,
imagine being deluded enough to think a multi billion dollar company with guys who literally have wrestling in their blood hot shoted a heel turn storyline because they booked themselves into a corner. are you serious dude? that is the most ridiculous thing i have read in a minute lol. good luck bro.
Great episode.
Punk/Cody was there for the taking and Cena could’ve gone up against Gunther.
They knee jerked a heel turn because they booked themselves into a nepotism corner
Very good show
honestly don’t get the hate. like sure, there’s no major story here YET. But Punk/Rollins/Reigns has a lot of potential to be a high quality match. I’m legit looking forward to it and love that these three have wound up in a match together.
Great episode.
The triple threat match between them at Wrestlemania is gonna be awesome. Super stoked for this match
Great show
Let’s mention the women’s match in every live/hate challenge. Easiest task for this group of “journalists” ever. Each one of these love/hates are more embarrassing than the last. We get it, women’s wrestling is amazing and should main event every show and if a women’s match is bad it’s because where it is on the card or the booking it’s never the talent, all the women are top tier wrestlers.
Very good show
You wanna find out who the real simps and shills are? Mark down anybody who defends that main event match! Even the diehard AEW fans are crapping on that main event. It was terrible.
This Moxley stuff is stinking out the entire show and the dude seems to think he is Brock Lesnar.
The sad part is that this wasn’t a terrible show overall and with all things taken into an account. But at the end of the day, a bad ending can ruin a whole show for a lot of people. “Game of Thrones season 8” style.
Great show
So the crux of it all is that the PLE started strong…then ended with a sour belch.
The fans most remember how you left them and the fans are going to remember this show with a resounding “bleh”!
And any casual fan who watched with their buddies who are more diehard fans, may have left the viewing saying aloud, “That guy was pretty good. He should go to WWE”.
Great show.
I’ve said before but I think one of the issues here is that Tony is a massive fan of NJPW and often looks to emulate their PPV card structure. NJPW cards typically build to a climax with the big matches back to back and tend not to feature cool down matches or spots. Problem is western audiences haven’t been conditioned for that over the last 40 years, so often results in burnout. Personally I would have laid out the card like below giving breathing spaces, opening with the Steel Cage match and building to the Hollywood Ending as the main event.
Storm vs. May
Mox vs. Cope
Hangman vs. MJF
Hurt Syndicate vs. Outrunners
Takeshita vs. Omega
Swerve vs. Ricochet
Okada vs. King
Mone vs. Watanabe
Ospreay vs. Fletcher
Great episode.
Very good show, but the ending is what people remember. WWE ended Elimination Chamber with a huge heel turn. AEW ended Revolution with that abominable ending.
it doesn’t totally undo a great show, but it might have done more harm than good.
Very good show
I can already see Trips the mark statues, Trips the mark with a 20 minutes speech, the camera focusing onTrips the mark every 30 seconds when he is on the crowd.
Great show.
I’m glad they are bringing it back to a nice venue. The idea of hosting it immediately after Smackdown is insane. Why not put a highlight show or broadcast the Hall of Fame instead of airing Smackdown that week.
best of the best
Very good show tonight
