The Stage Is Set: AEW Dynamite’s Legacy Continues
Since its inception, AEW Dynamite has redefined what it means to be a wrestling show. It’s not just about the matches—it’s about the stories, the characters, and the moments that leave fans talking for weeks. February 12, 2025, is no exception. With AEW’s reputation for delivering must-see television, this episode is poised to continue the legacy of excellence that has made Dynamite a cornerstone of professional wrestling.
The card for this episode is stacked with talent, featuring some of the biggest names in AEW and a few surprises that could change the landscape of the company. Let’s break it down match by match, storyline by storyline, and explore what makes this episode so special.
Main Event: The AEW World Championship on the Line
At the top of the card, the AEW World Championship will be defended in what promises to be an instant classic. The reigning champion, Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF), has been on a historic run, solidifying himself as one of the most dominant champions in AEW history. But his reign is far from secure. On February 12, he faces his toughest challenge yet: Kenny Omega, the “Best Bout Machine” and a man who has held the title before.
The build-up to this match has been nothing short of spectacular. MJF’s cunning and arrogance have been on full display, as he’s taunted Omega at every turn. Meanwhile, Omega has been laser-focused, reminding everyone why he’s considered one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. The tension between these two has reached a fever pitch, and their clash on Dynamite is sure to be a masterclass in storytelling and in-ring action.
Will MJF’s underhanded tactics secure him another victory, or will Omega reclaim the title and cement his legacy once again? This is a match that could headline any pay-per-view, and it’s happening on free television. Don’t blink—you might miss history.
Grudge Match: The Elite vs. Blackpool Combat Club
The rivalry between The Elite and the Blackpool Combat Club (BCC) has been one of the most intense and personal feuds in AEW history. On February 12, these two factions will collide in a six-man tag team match that promises to be as brutal as it is thrilling.
The Elite, consisting of The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) and Hangman Adam Page, have been at odds with the BCC’s Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta for months. The animosity between these groups has spilled out of the ring and into backstage brawls, social media wars, and even personal attacks. This match isn’t just about winning—it’s about proving who the better faction is.
With high-flying maneuvers, technical prowess, and sheer brutality, this match has all the ingredients to steal the show. Will The Elite’s unity and innovation be enough to overcome the BCC’s relentless aggression? Or will the BCC prove once again why they’re one of the most feared groups in wrestling?
Women’s Division Showcase: AEW Women’s World Championship Match
The AEW Women’s Division has been on fire lately, and the Women’s World Championship match on February 12 is a testament to the incredible talent in the division. The champion, Thunder Rosa, will defend her title against the rising star Jamie Hayter.
Thunder Rosa has been a fighting champion, taking on all challengers and proving why she’s one of the best in the world. But Jamie Hayter is no ordinary challenger. With her hard-hitting style and undeniable charisma, Hayter has quickly become a fan favorite and a legitimate threat to the title.
This match has the potential to be a show-stealer, with both women known for their hard-hitting, no-nonsense approach to wrestling. Will Thunder Rosa continue her reign of dominance, or will Jamie Hayter claim the gold and usher in a new era for the AEW Women’s Division?
Tag Team Turmoil: AEW World Tag Team Championship Match
The tag team division in AEW is second to none, and the World Tag Team Championship match on February 12 is proof of that. The champions, FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler), will defend their titles against the high-flying duo of Top Flight (Dante and Darius Martin).
FTR has been on a mission to prove they’re the best tag team in the world, and their matches have been nothing short of spectacular. But Top Flight is hungry for gold, and their incredible athleticism and innovative offense make them a formidable challenge.
This match is a clash of styles, with FTR’s old-school, hard-hitting approach going up against Top Flight’s high-flying, fast-paced offense. It’s a match that will keep fans on the edge of their seats from bell to bell.
The X-Factor: Surprises and Swerves
One of the things that makes AEW Dynamite so exciting is the element of surprise. Whether it’s a shocking return, an unexpected debut, or a storyline twist that no one saw coming, AEW always keeps fans guessing. February 12, 2025, is sure to be no exception.
Rumors have been swirling about a potential appearance by CM Punk, who has been absent from AEW programming for several months. Could he make his return on Dynamite? And if so, what will it mean for the landscape of AEW?
There’s also speculation about the future of Sting, who has been teasing retirement for months. Will the Icon have one last surprise for the AEW faithful?
And let’s not forget about the potential for new signings or debuts. AEW has a history of bringing in top talent from around the world, and February 12 could be the night we see a new face in the company.

Very good show
I think his Ic run being so long hurt him as a credible world champion. It’s like he fought all the same guys and crushed them for a mid card belt now we are supposed to believe they are an actual challenge to him as a world champion? Lol when they took the intercontinental title off of him they should have moved him to SmackDown and put a new list of challengers in front of him. And moved Cody and the WWE championship to raw
Very good episode,
imagine being deluded enough to think a multi billion dollar company with guys who literally have wrestling in their blood hot shoted a heel turn storyline because they booked themselves into a corner. are you serious dude? that is the most ridiculous thing i have read in a minute lol. good luck bro.
Great episode.
Punk/Cody was there for the taking and Cena could’ve gone up against Gunther.
They knee jerked a heel turn because they booked themselves into a nepotism corner
Very good show
honestly don’t get the hate. like sure, there’s no major story here YET. But Punk/Rollins/Reigns has a lot of potential to be a high quality match. I’m legit looking forward to it and love that these three have wound up in a match together.
Great episode.
The triple threat match between them at Wrestlemania is gonna be awesome. Super stoked for this match
Great show
Let’s mention the women’s match in every live/hate challenge. Easiest task for this group of “journalists” ever. Each one of these love/hates are more embarrassing than the last. We get it, women’s wrestling is amazing and should main event every show and if a women’s match is bad it’s because where it is on the card or the booking it’s never the talent, all the women are top tier wrestlers.
Very good show
You wanna find out who the real simps and shills are? Mark down anybody who defends that main event match! Even the diehard AEW fans are crapping on that main event. It was terrible.
This Moxley stuff is stinking out the entire show and the dude seems to think he is Brock Lesnar.
The sad part is that this wasn’t a terrible show overall and with all things taken into an account. But at the end of the day, a bad ending can ruin a whole show for a lot of people. “Game of Thrones season 8” style.
Great show
So the crux of it all is that the PLE started strong…then ended with a sour belch.
The fans most remember how you left them and the fans are going to remember this show with a resounding “bleh”!
And any casual fan who watched with their buddies who are more diehard fans, may have left the viewing saying aloud, “That guy was pretty good. He should go to WWE”.
Great show.
I’ve said before but I think one of the issues here is that Tony is a massive fan of NJPW and often looks to emulate their PPV card structure. NJPW cards typically build to a climax with the big matches back to back and tend not to feature cool down matches or spots. Problem is western audiences haven’t been conditioned for that over the last 40 years, so often results in burnout. Personally I would have laid out the card like below giving breathing spaces, opening with the Steel Cage match and building to the Hollywood Ending as the main event.
Storm vs. May
Mox vs. Cope
Hangman vs. MJF
Hurt Syndicate vs. Outrunners
Takeshita vs. Omega
Swerve vs. Ricochet
Okada vs. King
Mone vs. Watanabe
Ospreay vs. Fletcher
Great episode.
Very good show, but the ending is what people remember. WWE ended Elimination Chamber with a huge heel turn. AEW ended Revolution with that abominable ending.
it doesn’t totally undo a great show, but it might have done more harm than good.
Very good show
I can already see Trips the mark statues, Trips the mark with a 20 minutes speech, the camera focusing onTrips the mark every 30 seconds when he is on the crowd.
Great show.
I’m glad they are bringing it back to a nice venue. The idea of hosting it immediately after Smackdown is insane. Why not put a highlight show or broadcast the Hall of Fame instead of airing Smackdown that week.
best of the best
Very good show tonight
