The main event is a WBO Lightweight Championship bout between the undefeated champion, Abdullah Mason (20-0, 17 KOs), and challenger Albert Bell (28-0, 9 KOs) . This is the first defense of his title for the 22-year-old Mason, who is boxing’s youngest male world champion .
The fight is an unexpected matchup. Mason was originally scheduled to face Joe Cordina, but Cordina had to withdraw due to visa issues. Bell stepped in on short notice, replacing a planned fight against Andy Cruz . Adding to the drama, both fighters are from Ohio (Mason from Cleveland, Bell from Toledo) and have a history as former sparring partners .
