ROH Wrestling 2/6/25: A Night of Chaos, Glory, and Unforgettable Moments – Live Online Preview
The stage is set, the stakes are high, and the wrestling world is buzzing with anticipation. Ring of Honor (ROH) is back with a vengeance on February 6, 2025, and this event promises to be one for the ages. Whether you’re a die-hard ROH fan or a casual viewer, this night will leave you on the edge of your seat, screaming at your screen, and questioning everything you thought you knew about professional wrestling.
In this exclusive preview, we’ll dive deep into the match card, the rivalries, the potential surprises, and why this event is a must-watch for any wrestling enthusiast. So, grab your favorite snack, settle into your most comfortable chair, and let’s break down what’s in store for ROH Wrestling on 2/6/25.
The Main Event: A Clash of Titans
The main event of the evening is nothing short of monumental. ROH World Champion Jonathan Gresham will defend his title against the powerhouse Shane Taylor in a match that has been brewing for months. Gresham, the technical mastermind, has been on a historic run, outwitting and outlasting every challenger who has stepped into the ring with him. But Shane Taylor is a different beast altogether.
Taylor’s raw power and unrelenting aggression have made him one of the most feared competitors in ROH. This clash of styles—precision versus brute force—has all the makings of an instant classic. Will Gresham’s technical prowess be enough to overcome Taylor’s sheer dominance? Or will Taylor finally claim the gold that has eluded him for so long?
The tension between these two has reached a boiling point, with personal jabs and physical altercations dominating recent episodes of ROH television. This isn’t just a match; it’s a battle for supremacy, and the ROH World Championship has never felt more prestigious.
The Tag Team Turmoil: FTR vs. The Briscoes – One Last Time?
If there’s one rivalry that defines ROH tag team wrestling, it’s FTR vs. The Briscoes. These two teams have torn the house down every time they’ve faced off, and their upcoming match on 2/6/25 might just be the final chapter in their storied saga.
FTR, the self-proclaimed “Top Guys,” have made it clear that they want to cement their legacy as the greatest tag team of all time. But standing in their way are The Briscoes, the baddest brothers in wrestling, who have held the ROH Tag Team Championships more times than anyone else.
This match is being billed as a No Disqualifications bout, and if history is any indication, it’s going to be an absolute war. Chairs, tables, ladders—you name it, and it’ll likely be used. Both teams have promised to leave everything in the ring, and fans can expect nothing less than a brutal, hard-hitting spectacle.
But the question on everyone’s mind is: Is this truly the end? Will this be the last time we see FTR and The Briscoes go head-to-head? If so, they’re sure to go out with a bang.
The Women’s Division Shines: Athena vs. Mercedes Martinez
The ROH Women’s World Championship will be on the line as Athena defends her title against the legendary Mercedes Martinez. Athena has been a dominant champion, bringing a new level of intensity and athleticism to the women’s division. But Martinez is a seasoned veteran who has faced the best of the best across multiple promotions.
This match is a dream come true for fans of technical wrestling and hard-hitting action. Athena’s high-flying offense and Martinez’s mat-based mastery will create a fascinating dynamic. Both women have vowed to prove who the true queen of ROH is, and this match could very well steal the show.
The Rising Stars: Lee Moriarty vs. Dante Martin
The future of ROH is on full display in this showdown between Lee Moriarty and Dante Martin. Moriarty, known as “The Apex of Combat,” is a technical wizard who has been turning heads with his innovative offense. Martin, on the other hand, is one of the most exciting high-flyers in the business today.
This match is a perfect example of what makes ROH so special: a platform for young talent to showcase their skills and prove they belong on the big stage. Both Moriarty and Martin have bright futures ahead of them, and this match could be a defining moment in their careers.
The Wildcard: Samoa Joe Returns
In a shocking announcement, ROH revealed that Samoa Joe will be making his return to the promotion on 2/6/25. Joe, a former ROH World Champion, is one of the most respected and feared competitors in wrestling history. His presence alone adds an air of unpredictability to the event.
While it’s unclear what Joe’s role will be, rumors are swirling that he could be setting his sights on the ROH World Championship. Whether he’s there to compete, confront, or cause chaos, one thing is certain: Samoa Joe’s return is a game-changer.
The Undercard: Stacked from Top to Bottom
The entire card for 2/6/25 is a testament to ROH’s commitment to delivering top-tier wrestling. Here’s a quick look at some of the other matches you won’t want to miss:
- ROH Pure Championship Match: Wheeler Yuta (c) vs. Josh Woods
- Six-Man Tag Team Match: The Kingdom vs. La Faccion Ingobernable
- Grudge Match: Brian Cage vs. Tony Deppen
- Women’s Tag Team Showcase: The Renegades vs. The Allure
Each of these matches has its own unique storylines and stakes, ensuring that there’s something for everyone on this stacked card.
Why You Can’t Miss This Event
ROH has always been known for its emphasis on in-ring action, compelling storytelling, and a commitment to honoring the traditions of professional wrestling. The 2/6/25 event encapsulates everything that makes ROH great:
- World-Class Wrestling: From technical masterclasses to high-flying spectacles, this card has it all.

Very good show
I think his Ic run being so long hurt him as a credible world champion. It’s like he fought all the same guys and crushed them for a mid card belt now we are supposed to believe they are an actual challenge to him as a world champion? Lol when they took the intercontinental title off of him they should have moved him to SmackDown and put a new list of challengers in front of him. And moved Cody and the WWE championship to raw
Very good episode,
imagine being deluded enough to think a multi billion dollar company with guys who literally have wrestling in their blood hot shoted a heel turn storyline because they booked themselves into a corner. are you serious dude? that is the most ridiculous thing i have read in a minute lol. good luck bro.
Great episode.
Punk/Cody was there for the taking and Cena could’ve gone up against Gunther.
They knee jerked a heel turn because they booked themselves into a nepotism corner
Very good show
honestly don’t get the hate. like sure, there’s no major story here YET. But Punk/Rollins/Reigns has a lot of potential to be a high quality match. I’m legit looking forward to it and love that these three have wound up in a match together.
Great episode.
The triple threat match between them at Wrestlemania is gonna be awesome. Super stoked for this match
Great show
Let’s mention the women’s match in every live/hate challenge. Easiest task for this group of “journalists” ever. Each one of these love/hates are more embarrassing than the last. We get it, women’s wrestling is amazing and should main event every show and if a women’s match is bad it’s because where it is on the card or the booking it’s never the talent, all the women are top tier wrestlers.
Very good show
You wanna find out who the real simps and shills are? Mark down anybody who defends that main event match! Even the diehard AEW fans are crapping on that main event. It was terrible.
This Moxley stuff is stinking out the entire show and the dude seems to think he is Brock Lesnar.
The sad part is that this wasn’t a terrible show overall and with all things taken into an account. But at the end of the day, a bad ending can ruin a whole show for a lot of people. “Game of Thrones season 8” style.
Great show
So the crux of it all is that the PLE started strong…then ended with a sour belch.
The fans most remember how you left them and the fans are going to remember this show with a resounding “bleh”!
And any casual fan who watched with their buddies who are more diehard fans, may have left the viewing saying aloud, “That guy was pretty good. He should go to WWE”.
Great show.
I’ve said before but I think one of the issues here is that Tony is a massive fan of NJPW and often looks to emulate their PPV card structure. NJPW cards typically build to a climax with the big matches back to back and tend not to feature cool down matches or spots. Problem is western audiences haven’t been conditioned for that over the last 40 years, so often results in burnout. Personally I would have laid out the card like below giving breathing spaces, opening with the Steel Cage match and building to the Hollywood Ending as the main event.
Storm vs. May
Mox vs. Cope
Hangman vs. MJF
Hurt Syndicate vs. Outrunners
Takeshita vs. Omega
Swerve vs. Ricochet
Okada vs. King
Mone vs. Watanabe
Ospreay vs. Fletcher
Great episode.
Very good show, but the ending is what people remember. WWE ended Elimination Chamber with a huge heel turn. AEW ended Revolution with that abominable ending.
it doesn’t totally undo a great show, but it might have done more harm than good.
Very good show
I can already see Trips the mark statues, Trips the mark with a 20 minutes speech, the camera focusing onTrips the mark every 30 seconds when he is on the crowd.
Great show.
I’m glad they are bringing it back to a nice venue. The idea of hosting it immediately after Smackdown is insane. Why not put a highlight show or broadcast the Hall of Fame instead of airing Smackdown that week.
best of the best
Very good show tonight
