ROH Wrestling Live 2/27/25: A Night of Chaos, Glory, and Unforgettable Moments
The stage is set. The lights are dimmed. The roar of the crowd is building to a crescendo. On February 27, 2025, Ring of Honor (ROH) Wrestling returns with a live event that promises to be nothing short of spectacular. For fans of hard-hitting action, technical mastery, and storytelling that leaves you on the edge of your seat, this is the night you’ve been waiting for. ROH Wrestling Live 2/27/25 is not just another event—it’s a statement. A declaration that ROH remains the beating heart of professional wrestling, where legends are made, rivalries are settled, and the future of the sport is forged.
In this preview, we’ll dive deep into the match card, analyze the stakes, and explore the stories that will unfold in the ring. From championship clashes to grudge matches that have been simmering for months, this event has it all. So, grab your popcorn, tighten your boots, and let’s step into the world of ROH Wrestling Live 2/27/25.
The Main Event: ROH World Championship – A Clash of Titans
At the top of the card, the ROH World Championship will be on the line as the reigning champion, “The Apex Predator” Marcus Steele, defends his title against the relentless challenger, “The Iron Heart” Donovan Cole.
Marcus Steele has been a dominant force since capturing the title at Death Before Dishonor 2024. His combination of brute strength, technical prowess, and psychological warfare has made him one of the most feared champions in ROH history. But Donovan Cole is no ordinary challenger. A former MMA fighter turned wrestler, Cole brings a unique blend of striking power and submission expertise to the ring. His journey to this title shot has been paved with blood, sweat, and a series of victories over some of ROH’s toughest competitors.
The tension between these two has been building for months. Cole has accused Steele of ducking him, while Steele has dismissed Cole as a “wannabe fighter” who doesn’t belong in the same ring as him. Their war of words has escalated into physical confrontations, with Cole even costing Steele a non-title match last month.
This match is more than just a title defense—it’s a battle for supremacy. Can Steele continue his reign of terror, or will Cole’s heart of iron prove to be the champion’s undoing? One thing is certain: this main event will be a brutal, hard-fought contest that will leave the wrestling world talking for weeks to come.
ROH Women’s World Championship – A Rivalry Reborn
The ROH Women’s World Championship will also be up for grabs as “The Queen of Chaos” Serena Blake defends her title against her longtime rival, “The Phoenix” Elena Vega.
Serena Blake has been a trailblazer in the women’s division, holding the title for over 300 days and defeating every challenger who has stepped up to her. Her unorthodox style and unpredictable tactics have earned her the nickname “Queen of Chaos,” and she’s embraced the role of a cunning, ruthless champion.
But Elena Vega is no stranger to chaos herself. After a career-threatening injury sidelined her for nearly a year, Vega returned to ROH with a vengeance, earning her shot at the title by winning a grueling gauntlet match. Vega and Blake have a history that dates back to their days on the independent circuit, and their matches have always been show-stealers.
This time, however, the stakes are higher than ever. Vega has vowed to dethrone Blake and prove that she’s the true face of the women’s division. Blake, on the other hand, has promised to “burn the Phoenix’s wings” and end Vega’s comeback story once and for all.
With both women at the top of their game, this match is guaranteed to be a technical masterpiece filled with high-flying maneuvers, submission holds, and moments that will leave the audience breathless.
Tag Team Turmoil: ROH World Tag Team Championship
The tag team division has never been hotter, and at ROH Wrestling Live 2/27/25, the ROH World Tag Team Championship will be defended in a Triple Threat Match. The reigning champions, The Foundation (Jonathan Gresham and Tracy Williams), will face off against the high-flying duo of The Skywalkers (Dante Martin and Darius Martin) and the brutal powerhouse team of The War Kings (Jax Dane and Crimson).
The Foundation has been a dominant force in the tag team division, using their technical expertise and seamless teamwork to outclass their opponents. But The Skywalkers bring an entirely different challenge, with their aerial assaults and unmatched chemistry. Meanwhile, The War Kings are a wildcard, capable of dismantling any team with their sheer strength and aggression.
This match is a perfect example of the diversity and depth of ROH’s tag team division. Will The Foundation’s technical mastery prevail, or will The Skywalkers soar to new heights? Or will The War Kings crush the competition and claim the gold? One thing’s for sure: this match will be a chaotic, fast-paced spectacle that showcases the best of tag team wrestling.
Grudge Match: The Final Chapter
Some rivalries are so intense, so personal, that they can only be settled in the ring. That’s exactly what we’ll see when “The Outlaw” Shane Taylor takes on “The Technical Beast” Josh Woods in a No Disqualification Match.
Taylor and Woods have been at each other’s throats for months, with their feud escalating from heated promos to backstage brawls. Taylor, a brawler with a chip on his shoulder, has accused Woods of being a “pretty boy wrestler” who doesn’t respect the sport. Woods, a former ROH Pure Champion, has fired back by calling Taylor a “thug” who relies on brute force instead of skill.
This match is the culmination of their bitter rivalry, and with no disqualifications, anything goes. Weapons, interference, and chaos are all on the table. Both men have vowed to leave everything in the ring, and fans can expect a brutal, hard-hitting contest that will finally determine who is the better man.
The Future on Display: Rising Stars Collide
ROH has always been a breeding ground for the next generation of wrestling superstars, and this event will showcase some of the brightest young talents in the sport. In a highly anticipated match, “The Prodigy” Alex Kane will face off against “The Golden Boy” Jordan Oliver.
Kane, a technical wizard with a cocky attitude, has been making waves in ROH with his impressive in-ring skills and undeniable charisma. Oliver, on the other hand, is a high-flying phenom who has quickly become a fan favorite.
This match is more than just a showcase of talent—it’s a glimpse into the future of ROH. Both men have their sights set on championship gold, and a victory here could propel them to the next level. Expect a fast-paced, high-energy match that will leave fans buzzing.
The Wildcard: A Mystery Opponent
No ROH event would be complete without a little mystery, and this show is no exception. A surprise match has been announced, with a mystery opponent set to face “The Bounty Hunter” Brian Cage.
Cage, a powerhouse with a reputation for destroying his opponents, has issued an open challenge to anyone brave enough to step into the ring with him. Who will answer the call? A returning legend? A rising star looking to make a name for themselves? Or perhaps someone completely unexpected?
The anticipation surrounding this match is palpable, and it’s sure to be a highlight of the night.

The countdown to February 27, 2025, has begun. The question is: are you ready?
Very good show
I think his Ic run being so long hurt him as a credible world champion. It’s like he fought all the same guys and crushed them for a mid card belt now we are supposed to believe they are an actual challenge to him as a world champion? Lol when they took the intercontinental title off of him they should have moved him to SmackDown and put a new list of challengers in front of him. And moved Cody and the WWE championship to raw
Very good episode,
imagine being deluded enough to think a multi billion dollar company with guys who literally have wrestling in their blood hot shoted a heel turn storyline because they booked themselves into a corner. are you serious dude? that is the most ridiculous thing i have read in a minute lol. good luck bro.
Great episode.
Punk/Cody was there for the taking and Cena could’ve gone up against Gunther.
They knee jerked a heel turn because they booked themselves into a nepotism corner
Very good show
honestly don’t get the hate. like sure, there’s no major story here YET. But Punk/Rollins/Reigns has a lot of potential to be a high quality match. I’m legit looking forward to it and love that these three have wound up in a match together.
Great episode.
The triple threat match between them at Wrestlemania is gonna be awesome. Super stoked for this match
Great show
Let’s mention the women’s match in every live/hate challenge. Easiest task for this group of “journalists” ever. Each one of these love/hates are more embarrassing than the last. We get it, women’s wrestling is amazing and should main event every show and if a women’s match is bad it’s because where it is on the card or the booking it’s never the talent, all the women are top tier wrestlers.
Very good show
You wanna find out who the real simps and shills are? Mark down anybody who defends that main event match! Even the diehard AEW fans are crapping on that main event. It was terrible.
This Moxley stuff is stinking out the entire show and the dude seems to think he is Brock Lesnar.
The sad part is that this wasn’t a terrible show overall and with all things taken into an account. But at the end of the day, a bad ending can ruin a whole show for a lot of people. “Game of Thrones season 8” style.
Great show
So the crux of it all is that the PLE started strong…then ended with a sour belch.
The fans most remember how you left them and the fans are going to remember this show with a resounding “bleh”!
And any casual fan who watched with their buddies who are more diehard fans, may have left the viewing saying aloud, “That guy was pretty good. He should go to WWE”.
Great show.
I’ve said before but I think one of the issues here is that Tony is a massive fan of NJPW and often looks to emulate their PPV card structure. NJPW cards typically build to a climax with the big matches back to back and tend not to feature cool down matches or spots. Problem is western audiences haven’t been conditioned for that over the last 40 years, so often results in burnout. Personally I would have laid out the card like below giving breathing spaces, opening with the Steel Cage match and building to the Hollywood Ending as the main event.
Storm vs. May
Mox vs. Cope
Hangman vs. MJF
Hurt Syndicate vs. Outrunners
Takeshita vs. Omega
Swerve vs. Ricochet
Okada vs. King
Mone vs. Watanabe
Ospreay vs. Fletcher
Great episode.
Very good show, but the ending is what people remember. WWE ended Elimination Chamber with a huge heel turn. AEW ended Revolution with that abominable ending.
it doesn’t totally undo a great show, but it might have done more harm than good.
Very good show
I can already see Trips the mark statues, Trips the mark with a 20 minutes speech, the camera focusing onTrips the mark every 30 seconds when he is on the crowd.
Great show.
I’m glad they are bringing it back to a nice venue. The idea of hosting it immediately after Smackdown is insane. Why not put a highlight show or broadcast the Hall of Fame instead of airing Smackdown that week.
best of the best
Very good show tonight
