The Card: A Lineup Packed with Fireworks
TNA has pulled out all the stops for this event, and the match card reflects that. Every bout has been carefully crafted to deliver maximum excitement, and the storylines leading into this night have been nothing short of electric. Here’s a breakdown of the confirmed matches and what to expect:
1. Main Event: World Heavyweight Championship – Alex Shelley (c) vs. Josh Alexander
The rivalry between Alex Shelley and Josh Alexander has been the backbone of TNA programming for months. Shelley, the cunning and resourceful champion, has managed to outsmart Alexander at every turn, but the “Walking Weapon” is more determined than ever to reclaim the gold. Alexander’s technical prowess and raw power make him a formidable challenger, but Shelley’s ability to adapt and thrive under pressure has kept him on top. Will this be the night Alexander finally dethrones Shelley, or will the champion’s reign continue?
2. Knockouts World Championship – Jordynne Grace (c) vs. Deonna Purrazzo
The Knockouts division has never been hotter, and this match is a testament to that. Jordynne Grace, the powerhouse champion, has been on a tear, but Deonna Purrazzo is no stranger to the spotlight. Known as the “Virtuosa,” Purrazzo’s technical mastery and submission skills make her a dangerous opponent. These two have clashed before, and their chemistry is undeniable. Expect a hard-hitting, fast-paced match that could steal the show.
3. Tag Team Championship – The Motor City Machine Guns (c) vs. The Good Brothers
Tag team wrestling is alive and well in TNA, and this match is proof. The Motor City Machine Guns, Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley (double duty for Shelley!), have been the standard-bearers for tag team excellence, but The Good Brothers, Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson, are looking to reclaim their spot at the top. With both teams known for their innovative offense and high-energy performances, this match is guaranteed to be a crowd-pleaser.
4. X-Division Championship – Chris Bey (c) vs. Trey Miguel
The X-Division is all about speed, innovation, and jaw-dropping athleticism, and this match embodies that spirit. Chris Bey, the reigning champion, has been on a roll, but Trey Miguel is hungry to prove he’s the best in the division. Expect flips, dives, and moves you’ve never seen before as these two high-flyers battle for supremacy.
5. Grudge Match – Moose vs. Eddie Edwards
This one is personal. Moose and Eddie Edwards have been at each other’s throats for weeks, and their rivalry has taken a dark and violent turn. Both men are known for their intensity, and this match is likely to spill out of the ring and into the crowd. Don’t be surprised if weapons and blood come into play – this is a fight, not a wrestling match.
6. Ultimate X Match – Winner Gets a Future X-Division Title Shot
The Ultimate X match is a TNA staple, and it’s always a highlight of any event. Six competitors will battle it out in a high-risk, high-reward match where the only way to win is to retrieve the X hanging above the ring. With competitors like Laredo Kid, Ace Austin, and Rich Swann confirmed, this match is sure to be a chaotic, high-flying spectacle.
The Storylines: Drama, Betrayal, and Redemption
What sets TNA apart is its ability to weave compelling storylines that keep fans invested week after week. The matches are important, but it’s the stories behind them that make them unforgettable. Here’s a closer look at the narratives driving this event:
- Alex Shelley vs. Josh Alexander: The Chess Match
This isn’t just a battle for the World Heavyweight Championship – it’s a battle of wits. Shelley has used every trick in the book to stay one step ahead of Alexander, but the challenger has been studying his opponent meticulously. Will Alexander’s preparation pay off, or will Shelley’s cunning prove too much to overcome? - Jordynne Grace vs. Deonna Purrazzo: Respect and Rivalry
These two have a history that goes back years. They’ve been allies, enemies, and everything in between. Their mutual respect is evident, but so is their desire to be the best. This match is as much about legacy as it is about the championship. - Moose vs. Eddie Edwards: A War of Attrition
This feud has been building for months, and it’s gotten ugly. Both men have crossed lines they can’t come back from, and this match is their chance to settle the score once and for all. Expect a brutal, no-holds-barred encounter.
What to Watch For: Potential Show-Stealing Moments
Every TNA event has those moments that leave fans talking for weeks. Here are a few things to keep an eye on:
- Surprise Returns
TNA has a history of bringing back familiar faces when you least expect it. Could we see the return of a legend like AJ Styles or Samoa Joe? Or perhaps a rising star from the independent scene makes their debut? - High-Flying Action
The X-Division matches are always a highlight, and the Ultimate X match is sure to deliver some unforgettable spots. Keep your eyes peeled for gravity-defying moves and innovative offense. - Shock Endings
TNA isn’t afraid to take risks, and that often leads to shocking finishes. Whether it’s a surprise title change, a controversial decision, or an unexpected twist, expect the unexpected.

Very good show
I think his Ic run being so long hurt him as a credible world champion. It’s like he fought all the same guys and crushed them for a mid card belt now we are supposed to believe they are an actual challenge to him as a world champion? Lol when they took the intercontinental title off of him they should have moved him to SmackDown and put a new list of challengers in front of him. And moved Cody and the WWE championship to raw
Very good episode,
imagine being deluded enough to think a multi billion dollar company with guys who literally have wrestling in their blood hot shoted a heel turn storyline because they booked themselves into a corner. are you serious dude? that is the most ridiculous thing i have read in a minute lol. good luck bro.
Great episode.
Punk/Cody was there for the taking and Cena could’ve gone up against Gunther.
They knee jerked a heel turn because they booked themselves into a nepotism corner
Very good show
honestly don’t get the hate. like sure, there’s no major story here YET. But Punk/Rollins/Reigns has a lot of potential to be a high quality match. I’m legit looking forward to it and love that these three have wound up in a match together.
Great episode.
The triple threat match between them at Wrestlemania is gonna be awesome. Super stoked for this match
Great show
Let’s mention the women’s match in every live/hate challenge. Easiest task for this group of “journalists” ever. Each one of these love/hates are more embarrassing than the last. We get it, women’s wrestling is amazing and should main event every show and if a women’s match is bad it’s because where it is on the card or the booking it’s never the talent, all the women are top tier wrestlers.
Very good show
You wanna find out who the real simps and shills are? Mark down anybody who defends that main event match! Even the diehard AEW fans are crapping on that main event. It was terrible.
This Moxley stuff is stinking out the entire show and the dude seems to think he is Brock Lesnar.
The sad part is that this wasn’t a terrible show overall and with all things taken into an account. But at the end of the day, a bad ending can ruin a whole show for a lot of people. “Game of Thrones season 8” style.
Great show
So the crux of it all is that the PLE started strong…then ended with a sour belch.
The fans most remember how you left them and the fans are going to remember this show with a resounding “bleh”!
And any casual fan who watched with their buddies who are more diehard fans, may have left the viewing saying aloud, “That guy was pretty good. He should go to WWE”.
Great show.
I’ve said before but I think one of the issues here is that Tony is a massive fan of NJPW and often looks to emulate their PPV card structure. NJPW cards typically build to a climax with the big matches back to back and tend not to feature cool down matches or spots. Problem is western audiences haven’t been conditioned for that over the last 40 years, so often results in burnout. Personally I would have laid out the card like below giving breathing spaces, opening with the Steel Cage match and building to the Hollywood Ending as the main event.
Storm vs. May
Mox vs. Cope
Hangman vs. MJF
Hurt Syndicate vs. Outrunners
Takeshita vs. Omega
Swerve vs. Ricochet
Okada vs. King
Mone vs. Watanabe
Ospreay vs. Fletcher
Great episode.
Very good show, but the ending is what people remember. WWE ended Elimination Chamber with a huge heel turn. AEW ended Revolution with that abominable ending.
it doesn’t totally undo a great show, but it might have done more harm than good.
Very good show
I can already see Trips the mark statues, Trips the mark with a 20 minutes speech, the camera focusing onTrips the mark every 30 seconds when he is on the crowd.
Great show.
I’m glad they are bringing it back to a nice venue. The idea of hosting it immediately after Smackdown is insane. Why not put a highlight show or broadcast the Hall of Fame instead of airing Smackdown that week.
best of the best
Very good show tonight

Really don’t like that it’s the Women’s NXT North American Championship.
Really don’t like that it’s the Women’s NXT North American Championship. Besides being an awkward mouthful, it’s too derivative of Men’s midcard title.
