The UFC never fails to deliver heart-pounding action, and UFC Fight Night 104 on March 15, 2025, is no exception. This event promises to be a night of high-stakes drama, technical mastery, and raw power as two of the middleweight division’s most formidable fighters, Marvin Vettori and Roman Dolidze, step into the Octagon for a showdown that has been years in the making. With both fighters hungry for victory and a shot at the title, this fight is more than just a battle for rankings—it’s a fight for legacy.
In this live preview, we’ll dive deep into the matchup, analyze the fighters’ strengths and weaknesses, explore the stakes, and break down what makes this event a must-watch for MMA fans worldwide. So, grab your popcorn, settle in, and let’s get ready for UFC Fight Night 104: Vettori vs. Dolidze.
The Main Event: Vettori vs. Dolidze – A Rivalry Rekindled
The middleweight division has always been one of the most stacked and competitive weight classes in the UFC, and the matchup between Marvin Vettori and Roman Dolidze is a testament to that. Both fighters have carved out impressive careers, but their paths have now converged in a fight that could redefine the division’s landscape.
Marvin Vettori: The Italian Dream
Marvin Vettori, known as “The Italian Dream,” has been a staple in the UFC middleweight division for years. With a record of 22-6-1, Vettori has faced some of the toughest competition in the sport, including former champion Israel Adesanya, against whom he put up a valiant effort in their title fight. Vettori’s relentless pressure, granite chin, and well-rounded skill set make him a nightmare for any opponent.
Vettori’s striking has improved significantly over the years, and his ability to mix in takedowns with his striking makes him a versatile threat. However, it’s his grappling that truly sets him apart. A Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt, Vettori has a knack for controlling fights on the ground and grinding out victories. His cardio is also among the best in the division, allowing him to maintain a high pace for five rounds if necessary.
Roman Dolidze: The Georgian Powerhouse
On the other side of the Octagon stands Roman Dolidze, a Georgian powerhouse with a record of 18-2. Dolidze has been on a tear in the middleweight division, with his last five fights ending in dominant fashion. Known for his explosive striking and devastating knockout power, Dolidze has quickly become one of the most feared fighters in the division.
Dolidze’s background in combat sambo and wrestling gives him a unique edge. He’s not just a striker; he’s also a highly skilled grappler with a knack for finding submissions in unexpected moments. His ability to transition seamlessly between striking and grappling makes him a dangerous opponent for anyone, and his confidence is at an all-time high heading into this fight.
The Stakes
This fight is more than just another notch on the belt for either fighter. For Vettori, a win would solidify his position as a top contender and potentially set him up for another title shot. For Dolidze, a victory over a seasoned veteran like Vettori would catapult him into the upper echelon of the division and put him in the conversation for championship gold.
Both fighters have everything to lose and everything to gain, and that’s what makes this matchup so compelling. The tension is palpable, and the stakes couldn’t be higher.
Co-Main Event: A Featherweight Showdown
While the main event is undoubtedly the headliner, the co-main event is equally thrilling. Two rising stars in the featherweight division, Diego Lopes and Movsar Evloev, are set to square off in a fight that promises fireworks.
Diego Lopes: The Submission Specialist
Diego Lopes has quickly made a name for himself in the UFC with his slick submission skills and aggressive fighting style. With a record of 14-3, Lopes has finished 10 of his wins by submission, showcasing his elite grappling ability. His striking has also improved, making him a well-rounded threat in the featherweight division.
Movsar Evloev: The Undefeated Phenom
Movsar Evloev, on the other hand, is a perfect 18-0 and has been dominant in every fight he’s been in. A former M-1 Global champion, Evloev has seamlessly transitioned to the UFC, where he’s continued to impress with his wrestling-heavy style and relentless pressure. His ability to control fights and grind out victories has made him one of the most promising prospects in the division.
What’s at Stake?
This fight is a classic striker vs. grappler matchup, with Lopes looking to secure a submission and Evloev aiming to impose his wrestling. The winner of this fight could find themselves in title contention, making it a crucial bout for both fighters.
The Rest of the Card: A Night of Action-Packed Fights
UFC Fight Night 104 is stacked from top to bottom, with a lineup that guarantees non-stop action. Here are some of the other fights to keep an eye on:
Welterweight Bout: Sean Brady vs. Michael Chiesa
Two of the division’s most skilled grapplers go head-to-head in what promises to be a technical battle. Both fighters are coming off impressive wins and will be looking to make a statement.
Women’s Strawweight Bout: Amanda Ribas vs. Virna Jandiroba
A clash of styles in the women’s strawweight division, with Ribas’ striking and Jandiroba’s grappling set to collide. This fight has the potential to steal the show.
Lightweight Bout: Drew Dober vs. Jalin Turner
Two knockout artists face off in what is sure to be a stand-up war. Both fighters have a penchant for finishing fights, so don’t blink.
Fight Night Predictions
Predicting the outcomes of UFC fights is always a challenge, but here’s how we see the main and co-main events playing out:
Vettori vs. Dolidze
This fight is a toss-up, but we’re giving the edge to Marvin Vettori. His experience in five-round fights and his ability to control the pace will be the difference-maker. Expect Vettori to use his grappling to neutralize Dolidze’s power and grind out a decision victory.
Lopes vs. Evloev
Movsar Evloev’s wrestling will be the key to victory in this fight. While Lopes is dangerous on the ground, Evloev’s ability to control the fight and avoid submissions will lead him to a unanimous decision win.

Very good show
I think his Ic run being so long hurt him as a credible world champion. It’s like he fought all the same guys and crushed them for a mid card belt now we are supposed to believe they are an actual challenge to him as a world champion? Lol when they took the intercontinental title off of him they should have moved him to SmackDown and put a new list of challengers in front of him. And moved Cody and the WWE championship to raw
Very good episode,
imagine being deluded enough to think a multi billion dollar company with guys who literally have wrestling in their blood hot shoted a heel turn storyline because they booked themselves into a corner. are you serious dude? that is the most ridiculous thing i have read in a minute lol. good luck bro.
Great episode.
Punk/Cody was there for the taking and Cena could’ve gone up against Gunther.
They knee jerked a heel turn because they booked themselves into a nepotism corner
Very good show
honestly don’t get the hate. like sure, there’s no major story here YET. But Punk/Rollins/Reigns has a lot of potential to be a high quality match. I’m legit looking forward to it and love that these three have wound up in a match together.
Great episode.
The triple threat match between them at Wrestlemania is gonna be awesome. Super stoked for this match
Great show
Let’s mention the women’s match in every live/hate challenge. Easiest task for this group of “journalists” ever. Each one of these love/hates are more embarrassing than the last. We get it, women’s wrestling is amazing and should main event every show and if a women’s match is bad it’s because where it is on the card or the booking it’s never the talent, all the women are top tier wrestlers.
Very good show
You wanna find out who the real simps and shills are? Mark down anybody who defends that main event match! Even the diehard AEW fans are crapping on that main event. It was terrible.
This Moxley stuff is stinking out the entire show and the dude seems to think he is Brock Lesnar.
The sad part is that this wasn’t a terrible show overall and with all things taken into an account. But at the end of the day, a bad ending can ruin a whole show for a lot of people. “Game of Thrones season 8” style.
Great show
So the crux of it all is that the PLE started strong…then ended with a sour belch.
The fans most remember how you left them and the fans are going to remember this show with a resounding “bleh”!
And any casual fan who watched with their buddies who are more diehard fans, may have left the viewing saying aloud, “That guy was pretty good. He should go to WWE”.
Great show.
I’ve said before but I think one of the issues here is that Tony is a massive fan of NJPW and often looks to emulate their PPV card structure. NJPW cards typically build to a climax with the big matches back to back and tend not to feature cool down matches or spots. Problem is western audiences haven’t been conditioned for that over the last 40 years, so often results in burnout. Personally I would have laid out the card like below giving breathing spaces, opening with the Steel Cage match and building to the Hollywood Ending as the main event.
Storm vs. May
Mox vs. Cope
Hangman vs. MJF
Hurt Syndicate vs. Outrunners
Takeshita vs. Omega
Swerve vs. Ricochet
Okada vs. King
Mone vs. Watanabe
Ospreay vs. Fletcher
Great episode.
Very good show, but the ending is what people remember. WWE ended Elimination Chamber with a huge heel turn. AEW ended Revolution with that abominable ending.
it doesn’t totally undo a great show, but it might have done more harm than good.
Very good show
I can already see Trips the mark statues, Trips the mark with a 20 minutes speech, the camera focusing onTrips the mark every 30 seconds when he is on the crowd.
Great show.
I’m glad they are bringing it back to a nice venue. The idea of hosting it immediately after Smackdown is insane. Why not put a highlight show or broadcast the Hall of Fame instead of airing Smackdown that week.
best of the best
Very good show tonight
