WWE’s Greatest Moments Live (4/13/25) – A Night of Legends, Surprises, and Unforgettable Action
By [Watch Wrestling]
April 13, 2025 – The WWE Universe is buzzing with anticipation as the company prepares to deliver another historic night with WWE’s Greatest Moments Live, a special event promising to relive the most iconic memories in sports entertainment while creating new ones. This isn’t just another show—it’s a celebration of WWE’s legacy, packed with dream matches, surprise returns, and moments that will be talked about for years to come.
From legendary showdowns to shocking twists, this event is designed to be a love letter to the fans. So, what can we expect? Let’s break it all down in this exclusive preview of WWE’s Greatest Moments Live!
The Stage Is Set: What Makes This Event Special?
WWE has always excelled at nostalgia, but Greatest Moments Live takes it to another level. This isn’t just a “best-of” compilation—it’s a fully produced live event featuring:
- Legendary Returns – Rumors are swirling about multiple surprise appearances from past WWE icons.
- Dream Matches – Once-in-a-lifetime bouts pitting current superstars against Hall of Famers.
- Championship Showdowns – Major title defenses with high stakes.
- Unscripted Moments – WWE thrives on unpredictability, and this show is expected to deliver the unexpected.
With a stacked card and an electric atmosphere, this could be one of the most talked-about WWE events of 2025.
Confirmed Matches & Segments (So Far)
While WWE has kept some surprises under wraps, several major matches and segments have been officially announced. Here’s what we know:
1. John Cena vs. Solo Sikoa – The Legend vs. The New Blood
The Story: John Cena, the 16-time World Champion, steps back into the ring to face one of the most dominant forces in WWE today—Solo Sikoa. The leader of The Bloodline has been destroying legends, and now he sets his sights on Cena. Will the Cenation leader prove he’s still got it, or will Sikoa add another legend to his hit list?
Why It Matters: This is a classic “passing the torch” opportunity. If Sikoa wins decisively, it cements him as the next big monster heel. If Cena wins, it’s a reminder that legends never truly fade away.
2. The Rock’s Special Address – What’s His Next Move?
The Story: The Great One is back, and speculation is running wild. Will he challenge Roman Reigns again? Is he setting up a WrestleMania 41 match? Or is this just a thank-you to the fans? One thing’s for sure—when The Rock speaks, the world listens.
Why It Matters: The Rock’s appearances are rare, and his words always carry weight. A tease for a future match could send shockwaves through WWE.
3. Becky Lynch vs. Trish Stratus – The Rivalry Reignited
The Story: Their feud in 2023 was one of the most personal in recent memory, and now they’re running it back. Lynch has been on a warpath since returning, while Stratus wants to prove she’s still the best. Expect a hard-hitting, emotional battle.
Why It Matters: Two of the greatest women’s wrestlers of all time colliding is must-see. Could this be Trish’s final match?
4. Undisputed WWE Championship Match: Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Randy Orton
The Story: The American Nightmare defends his title against his former mentor. Orton has been more vicious than ever, and Rhodes knows this could be his toughest challenge yet.
Why It Matters: Their history adds layers to this match—will Orton turn fully heel? Will Cody prove he’s the true face of WWE?
5. The Hardy Boyz Reunion – One More Tag Team Classic?
The Story: Jeff and Matt Hardy haven’t teamed in WWE in years. Will they step back into the ring for one more high-flying, risk-taking match?
Why It Matters: The Hardys are one of the most beloved teams in history. A return would be a nostalgia bomb.
Rumors & Potential Surprises
While WWE has confirmed several matches, the real magic of Greatest Moments Live could come from the unexpected. Here’s what insiders are whispering about:
1. CM Punk’s Return?
Punk’s WWE comeback in 2024 was huge, but injuries sidelined him. Could he make a surprise appearance to set up a SummerSlam program?
2. Stone Cold Steve Austin – One Last Stunner?
Austin has teased being open to more matches. Could we see him stun a current superstar?
3. The Shield Reunion?
With Rollins, Reigns, and Ambrose (now back as Jon Moxley in AEW), a full reunion seems unlikely—but WWE has pulled off bigger surprises before.
4. New Debuts?
Could a major free agent (like a certain “Switchblade” from NJPW) make their WWE debut?
Final Predictions & Fan Expectations
- Cena vs. Sikoa – Sikoa wins after interference from The Bloodline, setting up Cena’s retirement match at WrestleMania 41.
- The Rock – He challenges Roman Reigns to a WrestleMania rematch.
- Becky vs. Trish – Lynch wins, but Trish gets a standing ovation in what may be her farewell.
- Rhodes vs. Orton – Cody retains, but Orton turns full heel afterward.
- Hardyz Return – They announce a retirement tour.
Conclusion: Why You Can’t Miss This
WWE’s Greatest Moments Live isn’t just a show—it’s an experience. Between confirmed matches, surprise returns, and emotional moments, this is a night that will remind us why we love WWE.
Will legends rise again? Will new stars cement their legacies? Tune in April 13, 2025, to find out!

Very good show
I think his Ic run being so long hurt him as a credible world champion. It’s like he fought all the same guys and crushed them for a mid card belt now we are supposed to believe they are an actual challenge to him as a world champion? Lol when they took the intercontinental title off of him they should have moved him to SmackDown and put a new list of challengers in front of him. And moved Cody and the WWE championship to raw
Very good episode,
imagine being deluded enough to think a multi billion dollar company with guys who literally have wrestling in their blood hot shoted a heel turn storyline because they booked themselves into a corner. are you serious dude? that is the most ridiculous thing i have read in a minute lol. good luck bro.
Great episode.
Punk/Cody was there for the taking and Cena could’ve gone up against Gunther.
They knee jerked a heel turn because they booked themselves into a nepotism corner
Very good show
honestly don’t get the hate. like sure, there’s no major story here YET. But Punk/Rollins/Reigns has a lot of potential to be a high quality match. I’m legit looking forward to it and love that these three have wound up in a match together.
Great episode.
The triple threat match between them at Wrestlemania is gonna be awesome. Super stoked for this match
Great show
Let’s mention the women’s match in every live/hate challenge. Easiest task for this group of “journalists” ever. Each one of these love/hates are more embarrassing than the last. We get it, women’s wrestling is amazing and should main event every show and if a women’s match is bad it’s because where it is on the card or the booking it’s never the talent, all the women are top tier wrestlers.
Very good show
You wanna find out who the real simps and shills are? Mark down anybody who defends that main event match! Even the diehard AEW fans are crapping on that main event. It was terrible.
This Moxley stuff is stinking out the entire show and the dude seems to think he is Brock Lesnar.
The sad part is that this wasn’t a terrible show overall and with all things taken into an account. But at the end of the day, a bad ending can ruin a whole show for a lot of people. “Game of Thrones season 8” style.
Great show
So the crux of it all is that the PLE started strong…then ended with a sour belch.
The fans most remember how you left them and the fans are going to remember this show with a resounding “bleh”!
And any casual fan who watched with their buddies who are more diehard fans, may have left the viewing saying aloud, “That guy was pretty good. He should go to WWE”.
Great show.
I’ve said before but I think one of the issues here is that Tony is a massive fan of NJPW and often looks to emulate their PPV card structure. NJPW cards typically build to a climax with the big matches back to back and tend not to feature cool down matches or spots. Problem is western audiences haven’t been conditioned for that over the last 40 years, so often results in burnout. Personally I would have laid out the card like below giving breathing spaces, opening with the Steel Cage match and building to the Hollywood Ending as the main event.
Storm vs. May
Mox vs. Cope
Hangman vs. MJF
Hurt Syndicate vs. Outrunners
Takeshita vs. Omega
Swerve vs. Ricochet
Okada vs. King
Mone vs. Watanabe
Ospreay vs. Fletcher
Great episode.
Very good show, but the ending is what people remember. WWE ended Elimination Chamber with a huge heel turn. AEW ended Revolution with that abominable ending.
it doesn’t totally undo a great show, but it might have done more harm than good.
Very good show
I can already see Trips the mark statues, Trips the mark with a 20 minutes speech, the camera focusing onTrips the mark every 30 seconds when he is on the crowd.
Great show.
I’m glad they are bringing it back to a nice venue. The idea of hosting it immediately after Smackdown is insane. Why not put a highlight show or broadcast the Hall of Fame instead of airing Smackdown that week.
best of the best
Very good show tonight
