ROH Wrestling 12th October 2023 Results

Ring of Honor (ROH) Wrestling returned to action on October 12, 2023, with a stacked card that featured some of the best wrestlers in the world. The show was headlined by a ROH World Championship match between Eddie Kingston and Serpentico, as well as a ROH Women’s World Championship match between Athena and Mazzerati.

In the opening match of the night, Shane Taylor Promotions defeated The Infantry. Taylor and his team of Lee Moriarty and O’Shay Edwards were too much for The Infantry to handle, and they picked up the victory after Taylor hit his signature Greetings from the Hood finisher on Infantry Unit Leader.

Next up, Gates of Agony (Kaun and Toa Liona) defeated Fresco and Watson in a hard-hitting match. Gates of Agony were dominant from the start, and they finished off their opponents with a double powerbomb.

In the third match of the night, ROH World Champion Eddie Kingston defeated Serpentico in a Proving Ground match. Kingston put Serpentico through a grueling test, but The King of New York eventually emerged victorious after hitting a Backfist to Hell.

After the match, Kingston was interviewed by Ian Riccaboni. Kingston said that he was proud to pass the Proving Ground test and that he was ready to defend his ROH World Championship against anyone. He then challenged Chris Jericho to a match at the next ROH pay-per-view.

In the fourth match of the night, ROH Women’s World Champion Athena defeated Mazzerati in a Proving Ground match. Athena was in control for most of the match, and she finished off Mazzerati with her signature O-Face finisher.

After the match, Athena was interviewed by Dasha Kuret. Athena said that she was happy to pass the Proving Ground test and that she was ready to defend her ROH Women’s World Championship against anyone. She then challenged Mercedes Martinez to a match at the next ROH pay-per-view.

In the fifth match of the night, QT Marshall defeated Daga to retain the AAA Latin American Championship. Marshall used his underhanded tactics to pick up the victory, but Daga put up a valiant effort.

After the match, Marshall was interviewed by Joe Hendry. Marshall said that he was the best champion in ROH and that he would defeat anyone who challenged him.

In the sixth match of the night, Angelico defeated Marty Casal in a Lucha Underground showdown. Angelico and Casal put on a thrilling match that was full of high-flying moves and counters. Angelico eventually picked up the victory after hitting a Shooting Star Press.

After the match, Angelico was interviewed by Caprice Coleman. Angelico said that he was happy to win the match and that he was ready to challenge for the ROH World Television Championship.

In the seventh match of the night, Mercedes Martinez defeated Lady Frost. Martinez was too powerful for Frost, and she picked up the victory after hitting her signature Air Raid Crash finisher.

After the match, Martinez was interviewed by Ian Riccaboni. Martinez said that she was the best wrestler in ROH and that she would defeat Athena for the ROH Women’s World Championship at the next pay-per-view.

In the eighth match of the night, Willow Nightingale defeated Leyla Hirsch. Nightingale was in control for most of the match, and she finished off Hirsch with her signature Moonsault finisher.

After the match, Nightingale was interviewed by Dasha Kuret. Nightingale said that she was happy to win the match and that she was ready to challenge for the ROH Women’s World Championship.

In the ninth match of the night, Billie Starkz defeated Rochelle Riveter. Starkz was in control for most of the match, and she finished off Riveter with her signature Codebreaker finisher.

After the match, Starkz was interviewed by Joe Hendry. Starkz said that she was the best wrestler in ROH and that she would defeat anyone who challenged her.

In the main event of the night, ROH World Champion Eddie Kingston defeated Chris Jericho to retain his title. Kingston and Jericho put on a brutal match that was back-and-forth the entire time. Kingston eventually picked up the victory after hitting a Backfist to Hell.

After the match, Kingston was interviewed by Ian Riccaboni. Kingston said that he was the best wrestler in ROH and that he would defeat anyone who challenged him. He then challenged Jay Lethal to a match at the next ROH pay-per-view.
