ROH Wrestling 5th October 2023 Results: A Night of Sensational Matches and Surprising Outcomes

Ring of Honor (ROH) put on another spectacular show on October 5, 2023, with a variety of exciting matches and unexpected results. The card featured some of the best and brightest stars in the company, including ROH World Champion Claudio Castagnoli, ROH Women’s World Champion Athena, and New Japan Pro-Wrestling World Television Champion Zack Sabre Jr.

ROH Women’s World Championship Match: Athena (c) vs. Leyla Hirsch

The night kicked off with a thrilling Women’s World Championship match between Athena and Leyla Hirsch. Athena came out swinging, but Hirsch was more than ready for her. The two women traded blows back and forth, with neither one able to gain a clear advantage.

At one point, Hirsch hit a devastating pile driver on Athena, but the champion somehow kicked out at two. Athena then rallied and hit a series of signature moves, including her devastating O-Face kick. Hirsch refused to stay down, but Athena eventually put her away with a picture-perfect moonsault for the win.

After the match, Athena attacked Hirsch, but Billie Starkz, Athena’s tag team partner, intervened and stopped her. Maria Kanellis-Bennett then appeared on the stage and had a staredown with Hirsch.

Josh Woods vs. Tyler Payne

In the next match, Josh Woods defeated Tyler Payne in a one-sided contest. Woods dominated Payne from the start, hitting him with a series of powerful strikes and throws. Payne tried to mount a comeback, but it was too little too late. Woods finished him off with his Tilt-A-Whirl DDT finisher.

Rocky Romero vs. Christopher Daniels

Two of ROH’s most respected veterans, Rocky Romero and Christopher Daniels, faced off in a highly anticipated match. The two men have a long history together, and they put on a classic match that lived up to all expectations.

Romero and Daniels traded holds and counters back and forth, neither one able to gain a clear advantage. The match went back and forth, with both men having their moments. In the end, Romero got the upper hand and pinned Daniels with his Sliced Bread #2 finisher.

After the match, Romero and Daniels showed their mutual respect for each other.

Scorpio Sky vs. Fred Rosser

Scorpio Sky and Fred Rosser faced off in a match that had the potential to steal the show. Both men are known for their high-flying offense, and they didn’t disappoint.

Sky and Rosser traded acrobatic moves back and forth, leaving the crowd in awe. The match went back and forth, with neither man able to gain a clear advantage. In the end, Sky got the upper hand and pinned Rosser with his TKO finisher.

Willow Nightingale, Skye Blue, and Kiera Hogan vs. Lady Frost and The Renegade Twins

In a six-woman tag team match, Willow Nightingale, Skye Blue, and Kiera Hogan defeated Lady Frost and The Renegade Twins. The match was full of high-flying action and exciting moments.

Nightingale, Blue, and Hogan worked well together, and they were able to overcome the numerical disadvantage. Nightingale pinned Robyn Renegade with her signature Lariat finisher to secure the victory for her team.

Ethan Page vs. Invictus Khash

Ethan Page defeated Invictus Khash in a one-sided contest. Page dominated Khash from the start, hitting him with a series of powerful strikes and throws. Khash tried to mount a comeback, but it was too little too late. Page finished him off with his Ego’s Edge finisher.

TMDK vs. The Infantry

TMDK (Mikey Nicholls and Shane Haste) defeated The Infantry (Carlie Bravo and Shawn Dean) in a tag team match. TMDK dominated The Infantry from the start, hitting them with a series of powerful strikes and throws. The Infantry tried to mount a comeback, but it was too little too late. TMDK finished them off with their TMDK finisher.

Satoshi Kojima vs. Tony Nese

Satoshi Kojima defeated Tony Nese in a match that was full of hard-hitting action. Both men are known for their toughness, and they didn’t disappoint.

Kojima and Nese traded blows back and forth, neither one able to gain a clear advantage. The match went back and forth, with both men having their moments. In the end, Kojima got the upper hand and pinned Nese with his Lariat finisher.

Billie Starkz vs. Trish Adora

Billie Starkz defeated Trish Adora in a singles match. The match was full of exciting moments, and both women gave it their all.
