DID YOU ENJOY WWE RAW ON OCTOBER 16TH 2023?

I do like the way

October 17, 2023

The Cody/Jey/Sami/Drew/Bloodline/ Judgment Day storylines are all interconnected.

Raymond

Commentators no-selling wrestlers

October 17, 2023

Commentators no-selling wrestlers vandalizing their work space is absurd. Even if the ipads are owned by WWE, imagine all of your notes and pens being thrown on the floor. Wrestlers expect the commentators to run out of the way. Even a huge babyface like Cody Rhodes is acting like a heel by throwing his opponent over the table towards the commentators. WWE has a huge disconnect with working people that they think that anyone would be okay with their work space being vandalized twice a day. WWE thinks that we should just accept that as normal.

5v5

October 17, 2023

This whole Bloodline/JD vs Cody and the gang thing definitely ends with Wargames, taking Roman and Cena out of the picture you get a 5v5

Patrick

Poor Cody

October 17, 2023

he gets slammed thru announcer’s desk and then loses his tag team title.

Jey got to be a tag champion a long time with Jimmy, but now Jimmy has cut things short of Jey and Cody’s team.

The Bloodline stopped Cody from getting Roman’s belt, and now snipped his tag champ reign. all with the same tactics.

what will Cody do now…?

Best thing about new WWE

October 17, 2023

Is how everything is one cohesive world. Wrestlers don’t move from fued to feud and forget everything else, they actually interact with each other Like the past three years have been all interconnected

Gregory

I fucking hate Jimmy so much but WWE Survivor Series 2023 is going to be so fucking good.

October 17, 2023

Cody & Friends vs. The Bloodment Day is just going to be fucking nuts. The amount of long term booking it took to get that match is insane.

I guess it has to be some form of Cody/Jey/Sami/?/? vs. Finn/Priest/Dom/Jimmy/?

Drew, Knight, KO and Cena are the possibilities for Cody’s group.

Roman, Solo or JD McDonough have to be on the other team. It probably has to be Solo although I’d love if Roman was in a SS (possibly WarGames) match. The fantasy booking of what could happen in that match has me so hyped.

Samuel

Awesome show!

October 17, 2023

Seth-Drew promo was exactly like how world heavyweight championship promos should be. One on one, no gimmicks or factions, making logical points, touch of history, forwarding the storyline with a bit of mystery.

WWE RAW 16th October 2023 Results: A Season Premiere to Remember

The season premiere of WWE RAW was a night to remember, with several exciting matches and storylines taking center stage. The show opened with a heartfelt tribute to the recently passed-away Pat Patterson, and it only got more emotional from there.

Sami Zayn Promo

Sami Zayn opened the show with a promo about his recent move to RAW and his excitement to start a new chapter in his career. He also addressed the elephant in the room: the fact that his former tag team partner, Kevin Owens, had been moved to SmackDown. Zayn said that he was sad to see his friend go, but he was also excited for the opportunity to show the world what he’s capable of on his own.

Piper Niven vs. Natalya

The first match of the night was a women’s singles match between Piper Niven and Natalya. Niven was making her RAW debut, and she made a big impression, defeating Natalya with a powerful basement crossbody. After the match, Niven was attacked by Natalya and her new ally, Carmella. However, Tegan Nox made the save, and the two women teamed up to drive Natalya and Carmella away.

The Miz vs. Johnny Gargano

Next up was a match between The Miz and Johnny Gargano. This was a rematch from their classic match at Clash at the Castle, and it was just as good as the first one. Gargano picked up the win this time around, thanks to a superkick and a one-winged angel. After the match, Miz attacked Gargano, but Gargano was able to fight him off.

Judgment Day vs. The Street Profits (c) – WWE RAW Tag Team Championship Match

The main event of the night was a tag team championship match between the champions, The Street Profits, and the challengers, Judgment Day. This was a highly anticipated match, and it didn’t disappoint. The two teams went back and forth, with both teams having their chances to win. In the end, it was Judgment Day who came out on top, thanks to a finishing move from Finn Balor.

Other Notable Moments

  • In a backstage segment, Seth Rollins challenged Bobby Lashley to a match at Crown Jewel. Lashley accepted the challenge, and the two men agreed to meet in the ring next week for a contract signing.
  • Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley had a tense confrontation backstage, with both women vowing to defeat the other at Crown Jewel.
  • Austin Theory defeated Mustafa Ali in a singles match. After the match, Theory was attacked by Brock Lesnar, who is scheduled to face Theory for the United States Championship at Crown Jewel.
  • In the closing segment of the show, Sami Zayn was interrupted by Jey Uso. Uso challenged Zayn to a match next week, and Zayn accepted.

Overall, the season premiere of WWE RAW was a great show. There was something for everyone, and the main event was a fitting end to a great night.

Analysis

The season premiere of WWE RAW was a strong start to the new season. The show featured several exciting matches and storylines, and it did a good job of setting up the upcoming Crown Jewel pay-per-view.

The main event tag team championship match was the highlight of the night. Judgment Day is a great team, and they are deserving champions. The Street Profits put up a good fight, but they simply couldn’t overcome the odds.

The other notable moments from the show were all well done. The Seth Rollins vs. Bobby Lashley feud is one of the most exciting feuds in WWE right now, and the Bianca Belair vs. Rhea Ripley feud is also heating up. Austin Theory vs. Brock Lesnar is another match that fans are looking forward to, and the Sami Zayn vs. Jey Uso match next week should be a good one.

Overall, the season premiere of WWE RAW was a great show. It was a fitting start to the new season, and it has fans excited for what’s to come.

What’s Next?

Next week’s episode of WWE RAW will feature a contract signing between Seth Rollins and Bobby Lashley, as well as a match between Sami Zayn and Jey Uso. The show will also build towards the upcoming Crown Jewel pay-per-view, which is scheduled for October 22nd.

Crown Jewel is one of the biggest shows of the year, and it will feature several exciting matches, including Seth Rollins vs. Bobby Lashley, Bianca Belair vs. Rhea Ripley, and Austin Theory vs. Brock Lesnar. Fans should be sure to tune in to next week’s episode of WWE RAW to get ready for this epic event.

Additional Thoughts

I am particularly excited about the feud between Seth Rollins and Bobby Lashley. Both men are top stars in WWE, and they have great chemistry. Their match at Crown Jewel is sure to be a classic.

I am also interested in seeing what happens with Sami Zayn. He is one of the most talented wrestlers in WWE, and he has been underutilized in recent years. I hope that his move to RAW will lead to a bigger push for him.

Overall, I am very optimistic about the future of WWE RAW. The show has a lot of talented wrestlers, and there are several exciting feuds going on. I am looking forward to seeing what the rest of the season has in store.

Potential Storylines for the Future

Here are some potential storylines for the future of WWE RAW:

  • Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens could reunite and challenge Judgment Day for the tag team titles.
  • Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley could continue their feud and have a rematch at WrestleMania.
  • Austin Theory could cash in his Money in the Bank contract and defeat Bobby Lashley for the United States Championship.
  • Seth Rollins could defeat Brock Lesnar at Crown Jewel and become the new WWE Champion.
  • Cody Rhodes could make his return to WWE and challenge Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship.

These are just a few ideas, and the creative team at WWE is sure to come up with even more exciting storylines in the weeks and months to come. I am looking forward to seeing what they have in store for us.
