DID YOU ENJOY WWE RAW ON NOVEMBER 27TH 2023?

From a story perspective,

Rated 5.0 out of 5
November 28, 2023

That promo just felt very gaslighting of Punk claiming “he’s home. He’s changed” when Seth had a very visoral reaction towards the mere sight of him at Survivor Series.

This is definitely going to be built over the course of the next few months imo, especially with his interactions with Rollins leading into Wrestlemania season.

LONG TERM STORYTELLING is literally Triple H’s MO. We’ve seen it with the Bloodline, currently with Judgment Day and now with Punk.

Phil Brooks reeks of desperation and you can’t convince me otherwise and thats coming from someone who would credit him for reviving my interest in WWE in 2012.

I can’t believe CM Punk’s first promo

Rated 5.0 out of 5
November 28, 2023

I can’t believe CM Punk’s first promo after a decade out of the WWE was one of those canned “Happy to be here, YOU people made this happen…” promos. Hopefully he brings a little more edge because that was very underwhelming.

Considering everything he’s said about WWE for the last 10 years and the content of so many of his AEW promos, his words tonight struck me as so very shallow.

That punk promo. Cool for WWE fans who don’t watch AEW to hear, but i’ve already heard this several times already in the past two years.

Also the last line says it all, he’s here for the money.

I’m over this fool.

I am going to get downvoted

Rated 1.0 out of 5
November 28, 2023

I am sure I am going to get downvoted for this but whatever. I am not saying this to be tribal… I don’t watch AEW weekly either. I have only kept up sporadically with WWE over the past five years and basically bounced off the product again after the Raw after Mania this year. I come back because I know the shows are hot and doing good numbers… and of course I am curious about Punk.

But this is it? This is what they do? The pacing of this show was absurd. WWE had a ton of people who are checking them out again and they delivered a boring, bog standard Raw. I want to like WWE. It’s what I grew up with. But if this is what it is, it’s just not for me anymore. I loved seeing Randy back and healthy. I am happy Cody is well, and it is cool to see Rollins over even if his gimmick is nonsensical. But for me, I will be back to only watching the Rumble and Mania like I have been for the past five or so years.

what have they done to Shinsuke Nakamura?!?!?! He should be like a top, top guy, not a jobber to the stars.

It feels like a do-over from the AEW promo but more rushed.

Also… I’d like to believe he’s happy to be back, but after everything he’s said over those 10 years, calling it Home felt a little… Phony.

Larry

Everyone is talking about Punk

Rated 5.0 out of 5
November 28, 2023

I’ll talk about something else. I really love the Drew/Sami/Seth interactions and the parallels with Orton. Orton like Drew got screwed but he’s also more matured and can forgive because he knows he did messed up shit in the past and would come off as a hypocrite if he doesn’t let it go.

Sami also exposed Drew’s justification for doing what he is doing because he like Drew got screwed by the bloodline and made his life hell. But he’s not dwelling in woah is me, bullshit. He keeps moving forward but Drew can’t let things go. Sami destroys all the “Drew is right he is not a heel”, yes Drew is a heel because trauma and past disappointments don’t give you an excuse to cause harm to others.

His true character was also shown with Seth. Drew seemingly was attempting to turn a new leaf and acting less dickish to Rollins but once Rollins said Jey was getting the title shot, Drew threw a tantrum and beat up Seth because he didn’t get what he wanted and someone he hates got it (Drew also lost his chance so he can’t complain not getting another chance).

He acts like a normal person, you try to change, try to convince others and yourself you might change but when things don’t go your way, when you feel like the world is against you, you snap and let your anger out on other people and become an asshole. No one likes a whiney bitch.

I’d love if the show actually opened with Rollins music and him coming out to work shoot on Punk for a few minutes first saying he’s cancer and whatnot and Seth isn’t going to stand for it. Then just have Punk steer right in to that. Cut the bullshit and just make him a heel from the start.

Juan

I think Punk will be a mainstay on RAW.

Interesting that they’ve chosen Punk to be on Raw (unless they wind up doing a Aldis v Pearce battle for his signature type storyline). I would have thought with Roman out indefinitely and Cena gone, they would have picked Punk to carry the star power on SmackDown with LA Knight and KO
