DID YOU ENJOY AEW DYNAMITE ON JANUARY 24TH 2024?

Good show

The Women’s Division feels really hot right now? and we got Edge vs Murder Grandpa (which is fucking insane to me). Awesome night of wrasslin.

Elias

not a huge AEW guy

January 25, 2024

but the tickets aren’t bad, footprint isn’t far from my job and it may be Sting’s last title shot/win, so i think i might go.

Jack

I thought that show was pure filler.

Nothing of note really happened and it feels like they’re slowing down because there’s still so much more time before the PPV and all the matches are already announced.

Mariah May vs Lady Frost

January 25, 2024

You forgot about Mariah May vs Lady Frost on collision why I remember that match be announced idk

Josiah

Timeless Toni Storm legit makes me laugh out loud multiple times per segment at this point.

Rated 5.0 out of 5
January 25, 2024

She has legit topped Christian Cage for me at this point and is just the best gimmick/character in pro wrestling for me right now IMO.

Between the stuff that is coming out of her mouth, the shoe throwing, the absurd theatrical movements, Luther/Mariah, and just everything – it’s incredible all around.

Gabriel

For those wondering why the crowd was dead:

Rated 3.0 out of 5
January 25, 2024

Current Setup: 2,457 Tickets Distributed: 2,187

Barely over 2k in the building and an entire section shuttered off

Aiden

I think it’s time for a break from AEW.

Rated 3.0 out of 5
January 25, 2024

The empty, “rankings” style match booking feels like an endless tournament, nothing storyline-wise compels me, and every backstage segment fills me with secondhand embarrassment that rivals WWE at their most corniest.

I feel like the rankings are a cop out to having nothing on the shelf creatively and this whole show felt like their women’s division. Woman 4 vs Woman 19 with no actual stakes or anything to invest in.

Daniel

last update I heard was

Rated 4.0 out of 5
January 25, 2024

that Jamie Hayter was returning “soon”, which is as clear as mud, but it would feel right to me if it took Hayter to beat the Timeless out of Toni Storm.

Michael

I can’t see them ditching it after a little over half a year.

Rated 3.0 out of 5
January 25, 2024

I don’t know if they would kill the Timeless gimmick during what is only Toni’s second real feud in her reign as this character. Especially with all the build up it received (like, months long build up),

Jackson

Toni and Deonna was the most interesting thing on the show to me.

Rated 4.0 out of 5
January 25, 2024

That story has some meat to it. I’m curious to see where they go. The logical end of the story would be Toni ditching the Timeless gimmick, but I wonder if they’d do it with how popular the gimmick is. Imo Toni has been excellent and the gimmick has been great, but I do think it has a shelf life, and I wouldn’t hate seeing them find an exit strategy that allows Toni to bring the humor, charisma, and confidence she’s found into a more sustainable character.

Kai

Felt like the show started clunky and picked up.

Rated 3.0 out of 5
January 25, 2024

Crowd was obviously off from what we’ve grown accustomed to.

I loved the Storm & Deonna segment and that we’re getting two women’s matches on Saturday. Next step, 2 women’s matches on Dynamite…

Theo

One of the things the C2 spoiled me with is certain matches

Rated 4.0 out of 5
January 25, 2024

looking like they could go either way with even level opponents. This Dynamite kind of magnified the issue that a lot of the weekly TV is matches to build people up where you can see the results from a mile away.

I know you can’t have a whole card of toss up matches but there needs to be at least one or two per show to keep people engaged. The C2 gave us these cool matches like Brody King vs Claudio and Swerve vs Mox that utilizes the roster the way it should be used and what we kind of fantasy book when we look at the roster.

Benjamin

A solid, but not great episode,

Rated 4.0 out of 5
January 25, 2024

Especially when compared to the last few weeks of television. Nothing wrong with a 7 out of 10 episode here and there.

As someone who watches both WWE and AEW, I feel like AEW gets criticized more for an average episode when compared to WWE.

Maverick

Wishing you the best.

I’m glad had a great time with the show!

Hudson

Been having an absolutely brutal week

January 25, 2024

Professional wrestling is the thing that keeps me out of the dark corners of my mind and helps me work through the bullshit in life. Tonight was great for that and helping me escape for a couple of hours. Love you guys 🍻

Henry

TV special

Rated 4.0 out of 5
January 25, 2024

They can definitely have a named TV special that kind of acts like a televised PPV to fill the gap. Its always felt off when guys are setting up matches in January for March.

Sebastian

Enjoyed the show

Rated 5.0 out of 5
January 25, 2024

Just like this time last year AEW really needed either a TV special themed episode or a PPV in between their last PPV and Revolution.

The space between Full Gear and Revolution is just too long imo.

Having World’s End this time helped to cut it by a month but they really need at least some kind of special in January to build towards.

Ethan

What are some Revolution card predictions?

Rated 4.0 out of 5
January 25, 2024

For the main event I’m thinking either Swerve, Hangman, Joe three way or Joe and Hangman with swerve interfering/ vice versa.

James

The build was Suzuki answering the Cope Open which is fine.

Rated 4.0 out of 5
January 25, 2024

It probably should have happened earlier in the show with Hangman/Penta as the main-event. The match also felt kind of abrupt and Minoru Suzuki had some chemistry issues with Adam Copeland.

Asher

Not a classic necessarily,

Rated 5.0 out of 5

but enjoyable.

Something felt very boring.

I had it on but was not paying attention.

Levi

Shame Adam Cole and mjf are hurt since they cant move the devil storyline forward

January 25, 2024

Joe / swerve / hangman featuring hook is fun and Deonna vs Toni

I like edge but kinda want both edge and Christian to move on to something new

Lucas

Two good matches and a fun main event

Rated 5.0 out of 5
January 25, 2024

A very entertaining Purrazo vs Storm segment, but this show felt extremely skippable and I think this is AEW’s biggest issue right now with storylines progressing at a slow crawl and too many top stars off TV.

Mateo

5/10 – was right down the middle for me.

Rated 3.0 out of 5
January 25, 2024

I knew it was going down hill when the wife asked why Swerve was looking like a geek to Jeff Hardy. Honestly Jeff had the best reaction of the night and I’m excited he didn’t come across as a busted old man, but if we’re building Swerve he gotta be crushing mid card guys.

I don’t even remember the women’s match.

Trios tag was just a car crash, sometimes it’s fun. But it really reminded me of how over The Acclaimed are and how they need to be on TV more again. People like coming to a party and they make it feel special and fun.

The rest, I guess it was ok. Nothing too exciting, a few items moving the stories forward but man… give shows their identity and let them cook. Collision is the wrestling show, Dynamite is the story show and Rampage is the veterans, up and comers and squashes for stat padding.

Elijah

The Undisputed Kingdom stuff is bland as hell.

Rated 3.0 out of 5
January 25, 2024

The Kingdom was more entertaining before this.

Liam

Odd dynamite.

Everything felt disjointed.

Noah

I do like the Deonna addition, especially with the Toni Storm history.

Rated 5.0 out of 5
January 25, 2024

Is it bad that I don’t want Mercedes Mone in AEW just so TK doesn’t get a bandaid to cover up the women’s booking?

Olivia

I cannot wait.

Dynamite Explodes: A Preview of AEW’s January 24th Collision

The air crackles with anticipation, electrifying the very fabric of the Enmarket Arena in Savannah, Georgia. On January 24th, 2024, AEW Dynamite explodes with a card that promises chaos, carnage, and championship clashes that will leave the audience breathless. Prepare to witness legends collide, rivals reignite, and new stars rise amidst the pyrotechnics and thunderous roars of the faithful. Buckle up, wrestling fans, because this Dynamite is about to take off like a rocket fueled by pure adrenaline.

Clash of the Titans: Hangman Page vs. Penta El Zero Miedo

The Hangman, with his flowing mane and barbed wire bat, faces off against the masked maestro, Penta El Zero Miedo. This is a clash of titans, a battle of two warriors who have etched their names in the annals of AEW lore. Page, the former champion, seeks redemption after a tumultuous year, while Penta, the embodiment of lucha libre excellence, craves the gold that hangs around Hangman’s neck. Expect a symphony of lariats, moonsaults, and bone-crunching submissions as these two warriors dance on the precipice of greatness. Will Page reclaim his throne, or will Penta unleash a new wave of terror upon the AEW landscape?

Unleashing the Beast: Adam Copeland vs. Minoru Suzuki

Remember the name, Edge? The Rated-R Superstar is back, no longer a calculating opportunist, but a primal force unleashed. He faces the unyielding storm that is Minoru Suzuki, a legend of brutality whose mere presence sends shivers down spines. This is not a match, it’s a collision of styles, a clash of eras. Edge, with his spear and his signature intensity, will need every ounce of his cunning and experience to weather the storm of Suzuki’s ground-and-pound assault. Will Edge re-emerge as the ultimate opportunist, or will Suzuki prove that age is just a number when it comes to inflicting pain?

Tri-umphant Collision: The Acclaimed & Billy Gunn vs. The Gates of Agony & Brian Cage

The party’s on, and the AEW Trios Championships are the prize! The Acclaimed, with their infectious swagger and platinum records, stand alongside the ageless Billy Gunn, ready to defend their titles against the Gates of Agony and the monstrous Brian Cage. This is a clash of styles, a war of attrition where technical prowess meets brute force. Can Anthony Bowens and Max Caster’s aerial assault and Gunn’s veteran savvy hold off the combined might of the Gates and Cage? Or will the challengers claim their rightful place atop the Trios division, leaving the confetti raining down on a fallen party?

Other Explosive Encounters:

  • Swerve Strickland vs. Jeff Hardy: A high-flying collision of charisma and innovation, where Strickland’s calculated offense meets Hardy’s daredevil spirit. Will Swerve’s House Rules reign supreme, or will Hardy’s Enigma defy gravity once more?
  • Wardlow vs. Trent Beretta: The unstoppable Wardlow, fresh off his TNT Championship victory, faces the heart and soul of The Best Friends, Trent Beretta. This is a clash of power and determination, a battle to prove who truly belongs at the top of the AEW food chain.
  • Tensions Rise: “Timeless” Toni Storm & Deonna Purrazzo face-to-face: The women’s division is on fire, and these two titans are at the forefront. Expect sparks to fly as they lock eyes, a prelude to the inevitable clash that will determine the next chapter in their rivalry.
  • Sting & Darby Allin Speak: The Icon and the Charismatic Enigma take the microphone. What cryptic messages will they deliver? What challenges will they lay down? Buckle up, because Sting and Darby are rarely straightforward, and their words will leave the audience buzzing with anticipation.

This is just a taste of the mayhem that awaits on January 24th. AEW Dynamite is a powder keg waiting to ignite, and the Enmarket Arena is about to become the epicenter of a wrestling explosion. So grab your popcorn, your friends, and your loudest cheers, because this Dynamite is going to be one for the history books.
