AEW Dynamite Live 3/5/25: The Ultimate Preview for the Most Anticipated Night in Wrestling
The air is electric, the stakes are sky-high, and the wrestling world is buzzing with anticipation. On March 5th, 2025, All Elite Wrestling (AEW) returns with another explosive episode of Dynamite, and this one promises to be a night for the history books. From championship showdowns to personal vendettas, from high-flying spectacles to ground-shaking brawls, this episode has it all. Whether you’re a die-hard AEW fan or a casual viewer, this is the night you won’t want to miss. Let’s dive deep into the match card, the storylines, and the potential surprises that await us on this monumental evening.
The Main Event: AEW World Championship – MJF vs. Adam Cole (Steel Cage Match)
The rivalry between MJF and Adam Cole has been nothing short of legendary. What started as a battle of egos has escalated into a full-blown war, with both men pushing each other to their absolute limits. MJF, the self-proclaimed “Devil,” has held the AEW World Championship for over a year, using every trick in the book to retain his title. But Adam Cole, the leader of The Undisputed Kingdom, has vowed to dethrone MJF and bring honor back to the championship.
The stakes couldn’t be higher. A steel cage will surround the ring, ensuring no outside interference and no escape. This is a fight where only one man can walk out victorious. Will MJF’s cunning and ruthlessness be enough to overcome Cole’s relentless determination and in-ring prowess? Or will Cole finally achieve his destiny and become the new AEW World Champion? The answer lies in what promises to be a brutal, emotionally charged main event.
Tag Team Turmoil: FTR vs. The Young Bucks (AEW Tag Team Championship)
If there’s one rivalry that defines tag team wrestling in AEW, it’s FTR versus The Young Bucks. These two teams have faced off countless times, each match surpassing the last in terms of intensity and innovation. On March 5th, they’ll do it again, this time with the AEW Tag Team Championships on the line.
FTR, the no-nonsense, old-school technicians, have been on a mission to prove they are the greatest tag team of all time. Meanwhile, The Young Bucks, the high-flying, rule-breaking brothers, are determined to reclaim their spot at the top of the division. With both teams at the peak of their powers, this match is guaranteed to be a masterclass in tag team wrestling. Expect superkicks, powerbombs, and moments that will leave you on the edge of your seat.
Women’s Division Showdown: Thunder Rosa vs. Jamie Hayter (No Disqualifications)
The women’s division in AEW has been on fire, and this match is a testament to its growth and depth. Thunder Rosa, the former AEW Women’s World Champion, has been on a warpath since her return, reclaiming her spot as one of the most dominant forces in the division. But standing in her way is Jamie Hayter, the hard-hitting Brit who has quickly become a fan favorite.
This No Disqualifications match is personal. These two women have been at each other’s throats for weeks, and now they’ll have the freedom to settle their score without any rules holding them back. Chairs, kendo sticks, and tables will undoubtedly come into play as Rosa and Hayter look to prove who is the toughest woman in AEW. Don’t blink—this one is going to be brutal.
The Rise of a New Star: Konosuke Takeshita vs. Darby Allin
Konosuke Takeshita has been one of the most impressive rising stars in AEW, showcasing a blend of technical skill and raw power that has made him a force to be reckoned with. On the other side of the ring, Darby Allin continues to defy the odds, using his unorthodox style and never-say-die attitude to overcome opponents twice his size.
This match is a clash of styles and generations. Takeshita represents the future of AEW, while Allin embodies the spirit of the underdog. Who will come out on top? Will Takeshita continue his ascent to the top of the card, or will Allin once again prove that heart and determination can overcome any obstacle?
The Battle of the Giants: Wardlow vs. Samoa Joe (TNT Championship)
When two powerhouses like Wardlow and Samoa Joe collide, you know the ring won’t be able to contain them. Wardlow, the reigning TNT Champion, has been on a tear, using his incredible strength and athleticism to dominate the competition. But Samoa Joe, the Samoan Submission Machine, is a seasoned veteran who knows how to dismantle even the toughest opponents.
This match is a test of power, endurance, and strategy. Will Wardlow’s raw strength be enough to overcome Joe’s technical mastery and ruthless aggression? Or will Joe add another championship to his storied career? One thing is certain: this match will be a slugfest from start to finish.
The Grudge Match: Chris Jericho vs. Eddie Kingston
Chris Jericho and Eddie Kingston have been at each other’s throats for months, trading verbal barbs and physical blows in equal measure. Their rivalry is deeply personal, rooted in a mutual respect that has turned into bitter animosity. On March 5th, they’ll finally settle their differences in the ring.
Jericho, the seasoned veteran and master manipulator, will use every trick in the book to outsmart Kingston. But Kingston, the brawler with a heart of gold, is fighting for more than just a win—he’s fighting for pride. This match is as much about emotion as it is about wrestling, and it’s sure to be a highlight of the night.
The Wildcard: Sting’s Final Stand?
Rumors have been swirling that the legendary Sting may make an appearance on this episode of Dynamite. While nothing has been confirmed, the possibility of seeing the Icon one more time has fans buzzing. Whether it’s a surprise appearance, a confrontation, or even a match, Sting’s presence would add an extra layer of excitement to an already stacked card.
What Else to Expect:
- Surprise Returns: AEW is known for its shocking moments, and this episode is sure to deliver. Could we see the return of a familiar face or the debut of a new star?
- High-Octane Action: From the opening bell to the final pinfall, Dynamite is known for its fast-paced, action-packed matches. Expect the unexpected.

Very good show
I think his Ic run being so long hurt him as a credible world champion. It’s like he fought all the same guys and crushed them for a mid card belt now we are supposed to believe they are an actual challenge to him as a world champion? Lol when they took the intercontinental title off of him they should have moved him to SmackDown and put a new list of challengers in front of him. And moved Cody and the WWE championship to raw
Very good episode,
imagine being deluded enough to think a multi billion dollar company with guys who literally have wrestling in their blood hot shoted a heel turn storyline because they booked themselves into a corner. are you serious dude? that is the most ridiculous thing i have read in a minute lol. good luck bro.
Great episode.
Punk/Cody was there for the taking and Cena could’ve gone up against Gunther.
They knee jerked a heel turn because they booked themselves into a nepotism corner
Very good show
honestly don’t get the hate. like sure, there’s no major story here YET. But Punk/Rollins/Reigns has a lot of potential to be a high quality match. I’m legit looking forward to it and love that these three have wound up in a match together.
Great episode.
The triple threat match between them at Wrestlemania is gonna be awesome. Super stoked for this match
Great show
Let’s mention the women’s match in every live/hate challenge. Easiest task for this group of “journalists” ever. Each one of these love/hates are more embarrassing than the last. We get it, women’s wrestling is amazing and should main event every show and if a women’s match is bad it’s because where it is on the card or the booking it’s never the talent, all the women are top tier wrestlers.
Very good show
You wanna find out who the real simps and shills are? Mark down anybody who defends that main event match! Even the diehard AEW fans are crapping on that main event. It was terrible.
This Moxley stuff is stinking out the entire show and the dude seems to think he is Brock Lesnar.
The sad part is that this wasn’t a terrible show overall and with all things taken into an account. But at the end of the day, a bad ending can ruin a whole show for a lot of people. “Game of Thrones season 8” style.
Great show
So the crux of it all is that the PLE started strong…then ended with a sour belch.
The fans most remember how you left them and the fans are going to remember this show with a resounding “bleh”!
And any casual fan who watched with their buddies who are more diehard fans, may have left the viewing saying aloud, “That guy was pretty good. He should go to WWE”.
Great show.
I’ve said before but I think one of the issues here is that Tony is a massive fan of NJPW and often looks to emulate their PPV card structure. NJPW cards typically build to a climax with the big matches back to back and tend not to feature cool down matches or spots. Problem is western audiences haven’t been conditioned for that over the last 40 years, so often results in burnout. Personally I would have laid out the card like below giving breathing spaces, opening with the Steel Cage match and building to the Hollywood Ending as the main event.
Storm vs. May
Mox vs. Cope
Hangman vs. MJF
Hurt Syndicate vs. Outrunners
Takeshita vs. Omega
Swerve vs. Ricochet
Okada vs. King
Mone vs. Watanabe
Ospreay vs. Fletcher
Great episode.
Very good show, but the ending is what people remember. WWE ended Elimination Chamber with a huge heel turn. AEW ended Revolution with that abominable ending.
it doesn’t totally undo a great show, but it might have done more harm than good.
Very good show
I can already see Trips the mark statues, Trips the mark with a 20 minutes speech, the camera focusing onTrips the mark every 30 seconds when he is on the crowd.
Great show.
I’m glad they are bringing it back to a nice venue. The idea of hosting it immediately after Smackdown is insane. Why not put a highlight show or broadcast the Hall of Fame instead of airing Smackdown that week.
best of the best
Very good show tonight

Really don’t like that it’s the Women’s NXT North American Championship.
Really don’t like that it’s the Women’s NXT North American Championship. Besides being an awkward mouthful, it’s too derivative of Men’s midcard title.
