iMPACT Wrestling Results: July 20, 2023
iMPACT Wrestling returned this week with a stacked card, featuring a rematch for the iMPACT World Tag Team Championship, an update on Josh Alexander’s future, and a Street Fight.
In the main event, Subculture (Flash Morgan Webster and Mark Andrews) successfully defended their iMPACT World Tag Team Championship against Ace Austin and Chris Bey of Bullet Club. The match was a back-and-forth affair, with both teams giving it their all. Ultimately, Subculture prevailed thanks to a distraction from The Rascalz.
After the match, Josh Alexander made his way to the ring to address the crowd. Alexander said that he was still recovering from his match with Moose at Slammiversary, but he was confident that he would be back in the ring soon. He also said that he was committed to iMPACT Wrestling and that he would be the company’s champion again one day.
In the other main event, Sami Callihan defeated Rich Swann and Willie Mack in a Street Fight. The match was brutal, with Callihan using a variety of weapons to attack his opponents. In the end, Callihan hit Swann with a Spike Piledriver to pick up the win.
In other action, The Good Brothers defeated The Motor City Machine Guns to retain the iMPACT Knockouts Tag Team Championship. Mickie James defeated Deonna Purrazzo to retain the iMPACT Knockouts Championship. Trey Miguel defeated Ace Austin to win the X-Division Championship. And Johnny Swinger defeated Willie Mack, Chris Sabin, and Brian Myers in an Ultimate X Match to win the X-Division Championship.
