WWE Rivals Live 3/2/25: A Night of Legends, Grudges, and Unforgettable Moments
The world of professional wrestling is built on rivalries. It’s the lifeblood of the industry, the spark that ignites the passion of millions of fans worldwide. And on March 2nd, 2025, WWE is bringing that fire to the forefront with WWE Rivals Live, a one-of-a-kind event that promises to deliver the most intense, emotional, and action-packed showdowns in wrestling history. This isn’t just another pay-per-view—it’s a celebration of the storied grudges, bitter feuds, and iconic matchups that have defined WWE for decades.
From legendary battles between Hall of Famers to fresh rivalries that have set the wrestling world ablaze, WWE Rivals Live is set to be a night that will be talked about for years to come. Whether you’re a lifelong fan or a newcomer to the squared circle, this event is your chance to witness the magic of WWE at its absolute best.
So, let’s dive into the preview of this monumental event, breaking down the matches, the stories, and the stakes that will make WWE Rivals Live an unforgettable experience.
The Stage is Set: What Makes WWE Rivals Live Special?
WWE has always been about larger-than-life personalities and the conflicts that arise when egos, ambitions, and personal vendettas collide. WWE Rivals Live takes that concept and cranks it up to eleven. This event is designed to showcase the most heated rivalries in WWE history, bringing together legends, current superstars, and rising stars for a night of pure, unadulterated wrestling drama.
What sets this event apart is its unique format. Instead of traditional championship matches, the focus is solely on the rivalries themselves. Each match is a chapter in a larger story, a culmination of months—or even years—of tension, betrayal, and revenge. It’s a chance for fans to see their favorite superstars settle the score once and for all.
The Matches: A Clash of Titans
Let’s break down the confirmed matches for WWE Rivals Live and explore the stories behind them.
1. John Cena vs. Randy Orton: The Final Chapter
The rivalry between John Cena and Randy Orton is the stuff of legend. These two icons have faced off countless times over the years, but their match at WWE Rivals Live is being billed as the final chapter in their storied feud.
Cena, the face of WWE for over a decade, represents resilience, determination, and the never-give-up attitude. Orton, on the other hand, is the cold, calculating Viper who will do whatever it takes to win. Their contrasting styles and personalities have made their matches must-see TV, and this one promises to be no different.
With both men nearing the end of their in-ring careers, this match is more than just a rivalry—it’s a celebration of their contributions to WWE. But don’t expect a friendly handshake at the end. These two have too much history, too much bad blood, to go out without a fight.
2. Becky Lynch vs. Rhea Ripley: The Clash of Generations
Becky Lynch, “The Man,” is the embodiment of the women’s evolution in WWE. Her charisma, in-ring skills, and unrelenting drive have made her one of the most beloved superstars of all time. But standing in her way is Rhea Ripley, the powerhouse of the new generation.
Ripley has been on a tear since her debut, dominating the women’s division with her brute strength and no-nonsense attitude. The tension between these two has been building for months, with Lynch accusing Ripley of disrespecting the legacy of the women’s division and Ripley firing back by calling Lynch “washed up.”
This match is more than just a battle for supremacy—it’s a clash of ideologies. Lynch represents the past and present of women’s wrestling, while Ripley is the future. Who will come out on top?
3. Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes: The Battle for Redemption
Roman Reigns has been the undisputed Tribal Chief of WWE for years, ruling the company with an iron fist. But Cody Rhodes, the American Nightmare, has been on a mission to dethrone him and reclaim the WWE Championship for his family’s legacy.
Their rivalry has been one of the most personal and intense in recent memory. Rhodes, the son of the legendary Dusty Rhodes, has vowed to finish the story his father started by becoming WWE Champion. But Reigns, with the Bloodline by his side, has proven to be an unstoppable force.
At WWE Rivals Live, these two will go head-to-head in what promises to be an epic showdown. Will Rhodes finally achieve his dream, or will Reigns continue his historic reign as champion?
4. Seth Rollins vs. CM Punk: The Battle of Egos
Seth Rollins and CM Punk are two of the most outspoken and polarizing figures in WWE history. Rollins, the self-proclaimed “Visionary,” has been a cornerstone of WWE for years, while Punk’s shocking return to the company after nearly a decade away has reignited his feud with Rollins.
Their rivalry is built on mutual respect but fueled by ego. Both men believe they are the best in the world, and neither is willing to back down. Their match at WWE Rivals Live is sure to be a technical masterpiece, with both superstars pulling out all the stops to prove who truly deserves the title of “Best in the World.”
5. Bianca Belair vs. Charlotte Flair: The Queen vs. The EST
Bianca Belair and Charlotte Flair are two of the most dominant women in WWE history, and their rivalry has been simmering for months. Belair, the EST of WWE, has been on a mission to prove that she is the best, while Flair, the Queen, has made it clear that she will not be dethroned.
This match is a battle of strength, skill, and pride. Both women have everything to prove, and neither is willing to back down. Expect a hard-hitting, high-flying match that will leave fans on the edge of their seats.
The Stakes: What’s on the Line?
While WWE Rivals Live isn’t focused on championships, the stakes are still incredibly high. For many of the superstars involved, this is about more than just winning a match—it’s about proving a point, settling a score, or cementing their legacy.
For John Cena and Randy Orton, it’s about ending their rivalry on their own terms. For Becky Lynch and Rhea Ripley, it’s about defining the future of the women’s division. And for Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes, it’s about redemption and legacy.
Every match at WWE Rivals Live has a story behind it, and every story adds to the drama and excitement of the event.

Very good show
I think his Ic run being so long hurt him as a credible world champion. It’s like he fought all the same guys and crushed them for a mid card belt now we are supposed to believe they are an actual challenge to him as a world champion? Lol when they took the intercontinental title off of him they should have moved him to SmackDown and put a new list of challengers in front of him. And moved Cody and the WWE championship to raw
Very good episode,
imagine being deluded enough to think a multi billion dollar company with guys who literally have wrestling in their blood hot shoted a heel turn storyline because they booked themselves into a corner. are you serious dude? that is the most ridiculous thing i have read in a minute lol. good luck bro.
Great episode.
Punk/Cody was there for the taking and Cena could’ve gone up against Gunther.
They knee jerked a heel turn because they booked themselves into a nepotism corner
Very good show
honestly don’t get the hate. like sure, there’s no major story here YET. But Punk/Rollins/Reigns has a lot of potential to be a high quality match. I’m legit looking forward to it and love that these three have wound up in a match together.
Great episode.
The triple threat match between them at Wrestlemania is gonna be awesome. Super stoked for this match
Great show
Let’s mention the women’s match in every live/hate challenge. Easiest task for this group of “journalists” ever. Each one of these love/hates are more embarrassing than the last. We get it, women’s wrestling is amazing and should main event every show and if a women’s match is bad it’s because where it is on the card or the booking it’s never the talent, all the women are top tier wrestlers.
Very good show
You wanna find out who the real simps and shills are? Mark down anybody who defends that main event match! Even the diehard AEW fans are crapping on that main event. It was terrible.
This Moxley stuff is stinking out the entire show and the dude seems to think he is Brock Lesnar.
The sad part is that this wasn’t a terrible show overall and with all things taken into an account. But at the end of the day, a bad ending can ruin a whole show for a lot of people. “Game of Thrones season 8” style.
Great show
So the crux of it all is that the PLE started strong…then ended with a sour belch.
The fans most remember how you left them and the fans are going to remember this show with a resounding “bleh”!
And any casual fan who watched with their buddies who are more diehard fans, may have left the viewing saying aloud, “That guy was pretty good. He should go to WWE”.
Great show.
I’ve said before but I think one of the issues here is that Tony is a massive fan of NJPW and often looks to emulate their PPV card structure. NJPW cards typically build to a climax with the big matches back to back and tend not to feature cool down matches or spots. Problem is western audiences haven’t been conditioned for that over the last 40 years, so often results in burnout. Personally I would have laid out the card like below giving breathing spaces, opening with the Steel Cage match and building to the Hollywood Ending as the main event.
Storm vs. May
Mox vs. Cope
Hangman vs. MJF
Hurt Syndicate vs. Outrunners
Takeshita vs. Omega
Swerve vs. Ricochet
Okada vs. King
Mone vs. Watanabe
Ospreay vs. Fletcher
Great episode.
Very good show, but the ending is what people remember. WWE ended Elimination Chamber with a huge heel turn. AEW ended Revolution with that abominable ending.
it doesn’t totally undo a great show, but it might have done more harm than good.
Very good show
I can already see Trips the mark statues, Trips the mark with a 20 minutes speech, the camera focusing onTrips the mark every 30 seconds when he is on the crowd.
Great show.
I’m glad they are bringing it back to a nice venue. The idea of hosting it immediately after Smackdown is insane. Why not put a highlight show or broadcast the Hall of Fame instead of airing Smackdown that week.
best of the best
Very good show tonight
