WWE’s Greatest Moments Live: A Night of Legends, Surprises, and Unforgettable Action (March 2nd, 2025 Live Online Results)
The WWE Universe has always been a place where history is made, legends are born, and moments are etched into the annals of sports entertainment forever. On March 2nd, 2025, WWE delivered yet another monumental event with Greatest Moments Live, a spectacle that celebrated the past, present, and future of the industry. This wasn’t just another pay-per-view—it was a love letter to the fans, a nostalgic journey through time, and a showcase of the incredible athleticism and storytelling that has defined WWE for decades.
From jaw-dropping returns to emotional tributes, and from high-stakes matches to shocking twists, Greatest Moments Live was a night that will be talked about for years to come. Let’s dive into the results, the highlights, and the moments that made this event an instant classic.
The Stage Was Set: A Night of Nostalgia and Innovation
The event kicked off with a breathtaking opening video package that took fans on a journey through WWE’s most iconic moments—from Hulk Hogan body-slamming Andre the Giant at WrestleMania III to The Undertaker’s legendary streak, and from the rise of The Rock to the Women’s Evolution. The video seamlessly transitioned into a live performance by a full orchestra, playing the iconic WWE theme music as pyro exploded around the arena. The energy was electric, and the crowd was already on their feet before the first match even began.
The set design was a perfect blend of old and new, featuring LED screens displaying classic WWE footage alongside modern graphics. The stage itself was a tribute to the company’s history, with subtle nods to different eras of WWE programming. It was clear from the start that this wasn’t just a show—it was an experience.
Match 1: The Usos vs. The Hardy Boyz (Tag Team Dream Match)
The night kicked off with a dream match that fans had been clamoring for: The Usos, one of the most dominant tag teams of the modern era, taking on the legendary Hardy Boyz in a tables, ladders, and chairs match. This was more than just a match—it was a clash of generations, a battle between two teams that have redefined tag team wrestling in their respective eras.
The action was fast-paced and chaotic from the opening bell, with Jeff Hardy hitting a Whisper in the Wind off a ladder onto Jimmy Uso, and Jey Uso retaliating with a superkick that sent Matt Hardy crashing through a table. The crowd was on the edge of their seats as both teams pulled out all the stops, with Jeff Hardy even attempting a Swanton Bomb off a 20-foot ladder onto Jey Uso, who was lying on a stack of tables.
In the end, it was The Usos who emerged victorious after hitting a double superkick on Jeff Hardy and securing the win. After the match, both teams showed mutual respect, with The Usos helping the Hardys to their feet and raising their hands in a moment that brought the crowd to their feet.
Segment 1: A Tribute to The Undertaker
One of the most emotional moments of the night came when WWE honored The Undertaker, arguably the greatest character in the history of professional wrestling. The lights dimmed, and the familiar gong echoed through the arena as a video package highlighted The Deadman’s legendary career. From his debut at Survivor Series 1990 to his final match at WrestleMania 36, the video was a powerful reminder of why The Undertaker is so beloved by fans.
The segment culminated with The Undertaker himself making a surprise appearance, riding to the ring on his signature motorcycle. The crowd erupted as he stood in the center of the ring, soaking in the adulation. In a rare moment of vulnerability, The Undertaker addressed the WWE Universe, thanking them for their support over the years and declaring that while he may be gone, his legacy will live on forever.
Match 2: Charlotte Flair vs. Rhea Ripley (WWE Women’s Championship)
The women’s division has been one of WWE’s brightest spots in recent years, and this match was a testament to why. Charlotte Flair, the self-proclaimed “Queen” of WWE, defended her Women’s Championship against Rhea Ripley, the powerhouse who has been on a warpath since her return to the main roster.
This was a hard-hitting, technical masterpiece that showcased the incredible talent of both women. Charlotte’s athleticism and ring IQ were on full display, but Rhea’s brute strength and unrelenting aggression kept the champion on the defensive. The turning point came when Rhea countered Charlotte’s moonsault into a brutal powerbomb, followed by a Riptide for the pinfall victory.
With this win, Rhea Ripley solidified her place as one of the top stars in WWE, and the crowd erupted as she held the championship high, signaling the dawn of a new era in the women’s division.
Segment 2: The Rock Returns
If there’s one thing WWE knows how to do, it’s deliver a surprise. Midway through the show, the arena went dark, and the familiar sound of “If ya smell…” echoed through the speakers. The crowd lost their minds as The Rock made his way to the ring, his signature swagger and charisma on full display.
The Great One cut a promo that only he could, hyping up the crowd and teasing a potential match at WrestleMania 41. He also took a moment to acknowledge the current roster, praising them for carrying on the legacy of WWE. The segment ended with The Rock hitting his signature People’s Elbow on an unsuspecting heel, sending the crowd into a frenzy.
Match 3: Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes (Universal Championship)
The main event of the evening was a rematch of one of the most talked-about rivalries in recent WWE history: Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes for the Universal Championship. This was more than just a match—it was a battle for the soul of WWE.
The match was a masterclass in storytelling, with Cody fighting from underneath as Roman used every trick in the book to maintain his dominance. The crowd was firmly behind Cody, chanting his name as he hit Cross Rhodes after Cross Rhodes, but Roman’s resilience kept him in the fight.
The turning point came when Seth Rollins made a surprise appearance, distracting Roman long enough for Cody to hit a second Cross Rhodes and secure the pinfall victory. The crowd erupted as Cody finally achieved his dream of becoming Universal Champion, ending Roman’s historic reign and cementing his place as the face of WWE.
Closing Moments: A Night to Remember
As the show came to a close, the entire roster came out to the stage to celebrate the historic night. Pyro exploded, confetti rained down, and the WWE Universe was left in awe of what they had just witnessed. Greatest Moments Live wasn’t just a show—it was a celebration of everything that makes WWE great.
From dream matches to emotional tributes, and from shocking returns to unforgettable moments, this was a night that will be remembered for years to come. The WWE Universe has always been about creating moments that last a lifetime, and on March 2nd, 2025, they did just that.
Final Thoughts
WWE’s Greatest Moments Live was more than just an event—it was a testament to the enduring power of sports entertainment. Whether you’re a lifelong fan or a newcomer to the WWE Universe, this was a night that had something for everyone.

Very good show
I think his Ic run being so long hurt him as a credible world champion. It’s like he fought all the same guys and crushed them for a mid card belt now we are supposed to believe they are an actual challenge to him as a world champion? Lol when they took the intercontinental title off of him they should have moved him to SmackDown and put a new list of challengers in front of him. And moved Cody and the WWE championship to raw
Very good episode,
imagine being deluded enough to think a multi billion dollar company with guys who literally have wrestling in their blood hot shoted a heel turn storyline because they booked themselves into a corner. are you serious dude? that is the most ridiculous thing i have read in a minute lol. good luck bro.
Great episode.
Punk/Cody was there for the taking and Cena could’ve gone up against Gunther.
They knee jerked a heel turn because they booked themselves into a nepotism corner
Very good show
honestly don’t get the hate. like sure, there’s no major story here YET. But Punk/Rollins/Reigns has a lot of potential to be a high quality match. I’m legit looking forward to it and love that these three have wound up in a match together.
Great episode.
The triple threat match between them at Wrestlemania is gonna be awesome. Super stoked for this match
Great show
Let’s mention the women’s match in every live/hate challenge. Easiest task for this group of “journalists” ever. Each one of these love/hates are more embarrassing than the last. We get it, women’s wrestling is amazing and should main event every show and if a women’s match is bad it’s because where it is on the card or the booking it’s never the talent, all the women are top tier wrestlers.
Very good show
You wanna find out who the real simps and shills are? Mark down anybody who defends that main event match! Even the diehard AEW fans are crapping on that main event. It was terrible.
This Moxley stuff is stinking out the entire show and the dude seems to think he is Brock Lesnar.
The sad part is that this wasn’t a terrible show overall and with all things taken into an account. But at the end of the day, a bad ending can ruin a whole show for a lot of people. “Game of Thrones season 8” style.
Great show
So the crux of it all is that the PLE started strong…then ended with a sour belch.
The fans most remember how you left them and the fans are going to remember this show with a resounding “bleh”!
And any casual fan who watched with their buddies who are more diehard fans, may have left the viewing saying aloud, “That guy was pretty good. He should go to WWE”.
Great show.
I’ve said before but I think one of the issues here is that Tony is a massive fan of NJPW and often looks to emulate their PPV card structure. NJPW cards typically build to a climax with the big matches back to back and tend not to feature cool down matches or spots. Problem is western audiences haven’t been conditioned for that over the last 40 years, so often results in burnout. Personally I would have laid out the card like below giving breathing spaces, opening with the Steel Cage match and building to the Hollywood Ending as the main event.
Storm vs. May
Mox vs. Cope
Hangman vs. MJF
Hurt Syndicate vs. Outrunners
Takeshita vs. Omega
Swerve vs. Ricochet
Okada vs. King
Mone vs. Watanabe
Ospreay vs. Fletcher
Great episode.
Very good show, but the ending is what people remember. WWE ended Elimination Chamber with a huge heel turn. AEW ended Revolution with that abominable ending.
it doesn’t totally undo a great show, but it might have done more harm than good.
Very good show
I can already see Trips the mark statues, Trips the mark with a 20 minutes speech, the camera focusing onTrips the mark every 30 seconds when he is on the crowd.
Great show.
I’m glad they are bringing it back to a nice venue. The idea of hosting it immediately after Smackdown is insane. Why not put a highlight show or broadcast the Hall of Fame instead of airing Smackdown that week.
best of the best
Very good show tonight

Really don’t like that it’s the Women’s NXT North American Championship. Besides being an awkward mouthful, it’s too derivative of Men’s midcard title.
