DID YOU ENJOY WWE RAW ON OCTOBER 23RD 2023?

Cody to take a PPV loss

October 24, 2023

Why would they not have done last week’s tag title match at Crown Jewel and do the title switch there? Would’ve been even more easy to have Jimmy cost Jey cause he wouldn’t need to cross brands.

Seems like they don’t want Cody to take a PPV loss. So this is what they came up with.

For all the people who complain about Judgment Day apparently being “overpushed” which is a laughable take to begin with. Seems like WWE is somewhat sacrificing their title reign a bit just to protect Cody from taking a ppv loss. People are complaining about the wrong thing.

Gregory

RAW is currently the show stacked with stars.

October 24, 2023

One of the most entertaining shows in a while.

Judgment Day is just so good. The WWE puts a lot trust in them because they’re interwoven in multiple storylines across all 3 TV shows.

4 incredibly over people that can tell and put over any story that’s asked of them.

I love how all 4 kinda have their own side quests but do everything for the good of the group.

Brandon

Raw each week

October 24, 2023

I feel like I’m in this weird loop where I just dread the last thirty minutes of Raw each week, cause it’s the same old shit. They don’t even close the show sometimes with whatever their champions got going on.

Scott

Judgement Day got owned by a dude with one leg,

October 24, 2023

no way they’d be as successful as they are if Zack Gowen was still employed.

Justin

Match with Becky.

October 24, 2023

Happy Candice had something to do and got a match next week. Sad it’s going to be jobbing to Xia to set up that match with Becky.

… but also happy for Xia having something to do. I just really want more for Candice hahaha. Yay women!

Also the NXT Women’s Title on RAW is proving just how well a women’s mid card title would work. Balances well with the other storylines.

Anna

All the JD matches ending in interference has gotten incredibly tiring.

October 24, 2023

All of their members are entertaining, but it also feels like Rhea’s the clear cut #1 (even with her not being given much to work with in terms of opponents,) and then it’s everyone else in the group not being close at all to where she is.

Tonight’s RAW felt very inessential to be generous. They aren’t all going to be winners, but when your clear #2 guy in Rhodes gets hurt (kayfabe) in the 1st segment, and then the popular Zayn and Jey lose via interference all in the same night, it’s gonna be disappointing no matter what.

Stephen

I love that Raw id getting 2-3 bangers we every week

October 24, 2023

(Sami vs Drew and New Day vs Alpha Academy was great thus week)

Becky vs Indi was solid love Becky using her title to elevate the women’s division

Dom and Logan are fantastic together they should be called Dirty double DF douches

Pretty good main event, Jey can’t catch a break

Jonathan

So what we think? Dom costs Rey the US Title.

October 24, 2023

Dom/Logan vs Rey/Bad Bunny

Rey said he wants that match in an interview last week and Logan liked a tweet that suggested it.

Eric

Might be a hot take,

October 24, 2023

RAW has been very formulaic/stale over the past few months. Judgment Day or Cody/Jey/Sami/Kevin (well not anymore for him) comes out, cuts a promo to start the show, then Judgment Day or one of the guys I listed above interrupts. Main event rolls around and its some variation of those guys having a match. Judgment Day interferes, the cycle repeats the following week on RAW.

Gary

War Games match

October 24, 2023

I think the Men’s War Games match will be team Judgement Day vs Team Cody and Friends, but the Women’s War Games match will be team Smackdown vs Team Raw.

Jacob

WWE do something different

October 24, 2023

Can WWE do something different with Cody other than another injury angle.

Ryan

Jeffrey

It’s a holiday for me

October 24, 2023

So did watch most of this Raw live. I continue to be amazed just how much of Judgement Day they keep packing into the TV shows. I just find it all so repitive and in some parts plain boring. But the crowds love it, so hey fair play I guess.

The Sami Drew match was a banger till some JD interference.

The Becky Indi match was not bad and better than what I had expected from Indi tbh.

Cody is stuck in this JD purgatory – I really hope this stuff is over after Survivor series.

Edward

Indi and Becky was better than I was expecting.

October 24, 2023

There’s no one better than Becky at raising her opponents up at this point.

Jason

MITB contract.

October 24, 2023

This is the first time I have felt the judgement day fatigue that people complain about online. The ending of the main event was very weak. The ending segment was fine but the match needs a stipulation, probably for MITB contract.

Ronald

Cody Belair really

October 24, 2023

Cody Belair really took it to Judgement CTRL in that last segment.

Timothy

Might have been a bit too Judgement Day heavy,

October 24, 2023

Overall I’m impressed with how good RAW has been. Especially the last month or so.

Glad to see every woman from the roster on tonight. And I love seeing the tag team division getting some love.

George

Is Rhea to first woman to be the main character of a WWE show for weeks or months?

October 24, 2023

Maybe Becky did before but I’m not sure. She’s the driving force behind everything in the main event scene and she always gets plenty of segments per show with Judgement Day, and makes time for her women’s title in an important role a few times too. This isnt including her manager role on NXT and Smackdown, shes working hard. As a full character, she’s probably the best and most used on Raw, credit to her.

Becky vs Indi was good. This felt like Indi’s real debut because she has been so irrelevant for months lol. Becky was good at usual and Indi had some cool power moments like the powerbomb out of the armbar. I was critical of Becky becoming NXT champ but her role as the midcard champion of Raw essentially has done a lot of good for Tegan, Natalya, Xia, and Indi (with Candice possibly getting into the mix). She’s elevating all the women around her and making this title reign great, she’s already easily surpassed Rhea as the women’s champion on Raw with 5 months less time holding her belt. She’s going to have a banger with Lyra tomorrow, I’m sure of it. Xia attacking Candice was good, I’m glad she’s getting a good story with Becky. (And her first Raw match next week) The Becky vs Xia match not happening yet though makes me feel like Becky is retaining tomorrow.

As for Indi and Candice by extension, I hope they get something good storywise soon. The Nikki Cross angle was heavily botched unfortunately and Candice has been in limbo. Indi’s big arc happened in NXT and it will be hard to recapture her magic on Main Roster without getting creative so I hope it happens, I don’t want them to be stuck as bland face jobbers forever.

That contract signing basically just screamed “Shayna, Zoey, and Raquel don’t matter and they’re just filler” which is sad. That segment was so weird/bad. Those 3 didn’t get to talk, Nia’s promo made no sense, and Rhea just standing there didn’t have the effect it was trying to have. I have high hopes for the match itself but this wasn’t it.

Wow the tag titles really are cursed, Tegan likely getting concussed by Lyra on NXT hurts this story 😭. That tag match felt really “there” unfortunately and Chelsea now has a combined 98 days across both title reigns with Chelsea and Piper without defending her title at all. I hope Alba and Isla are the cause of Nikki walking out by casting a spell on her, it’d make sense because they want the next title shot and causing Nattie to lose pushes her to the back of the line. Though atp I just want Unholy Union to become champs and the division having a reset, because while Chelsea has been entertaining, not much gpod has happened since she became champ, most of it has been spent losing to singles stars. Sonya got injured losing to a “can they coexist” team, she and Piper wasted time fueding with Shayna and Zoey only for them to go into the main title picture, they squashed Katana and Kayden despite KC2 being an amazing team without it even being a title fued, and now Tegan got hurt before this fued can take off properly. (Though Nattie said she’ll be back soon which gives me hope). Even if it’s in NXT, please let them have a title match even if it’s dropping them.

Nice to see KC2 used in backstage segments, I hope they get involved in the tag title scene soon

While I wasn’t a huge fan of everything that happened this week compared to the last two weeks, I’ll give credit where it’s due. Everyone was used here except Tegan who’s injured so that’s understandable. The World Women’s and NXT title builds got pushed forward and even though the tag title booking isn’t amazing, at least Natalya is still in the mix so the fued is still ongoing. While it’s going to take a while to rebuild a division of mostly jobbers to a higher level, the effort is being put in and in a few months I could see it paying off. I’m excited for next week.

Cody Friends and Judgement Line

October 24, 2023

I seriously, seriously hope we get Cody Friends and Judgement Line wargames for Survivor Series instead of the overplayed, pointless SD/Raw match. Wargames has basically been confirmed just from how things are playing out on the shows, but the Aldis/Pierce interactions tonight had me groaning. I really don’t want 4 weeks of forced SD/Raw rivalry.

Kevin

Don’t waste Jey momentum

October 24, 2023

Jey needs some big solo wins man.

Kenneth

Seth Rollins is the World champion,

October 24, 2023

but Cody Rhodes is the main protagonist of Raw

Joshua

gimmick from Nikki

October 24, 2023

Digging the new “literally lobotomized” gimmick from Nikki

Paul

Logan Paul and Dom Dom

October 24, 2023

Logan Paul and Dom Dom is the tag team that I never knew I needed lol

Andrew

Cody through his injury.

October 24, 2023

I want a segment of Pretty Deadly coaching Cody through his injury.

Steven

Jey was so good.

October 24, 2023

Drew’s sarcastic “oh could you imagine the bloodline costing you a title” and “get over it” to Jey was so good.

Donald

You know what I like?

October 24, 2023

Yes it’ll take time, but damn it they’re trying with a whole assortment of different people and putting a lot of new faces on tv.

Mark

he just 1v2 with one leg lmao

October 24, 2023

we need someone to bring back the kayfabe tier lists. Cody gotta be S/SS tier,

Anthony

Good Show

October 24, 2023

I was almost sure that Cody and Jey would have their rematch for the titles in Arabia but this is not bad, Cody will beat another member of JD in a pppv/ple and then he will go to SS to participate in his first war games match in what I hope is not the typical fight between brands.

Matthew

join the JD

October 24, 2023

Could they be hinting that Rhea is not just recruiting Drew to join the JD, but interested in him 👀

Daniel

What was Nattie’s advice?

October 24, 2023

If it was anything other than how to be more boring than watching grass grow for 15 years then she can keep it

Charles

get in the ring too?

October 24, 2023

Is it possible that the general managers get in the ring too?

Christopher

Those JD match finishes are getting so repetitive.

October 24, 2023

Every match there’s always interference, just like the Bloodline. It’s like the WWE thinks that Roman might go make movies soon and are trying to set up another super heel group to take their place.

It’s a bit funny to say this stuff because I llike all of the JD and Bloodline members individually, I just wish HHH would get a bit more creative with the match finishes. Let the heels cheat in other ways to win, it doesn’t have to be interference every. single. time.
