🔥 Main Event Preview: NXT Championship Showdown
“The Phenom” Dante Chen (c) vs. Trick Williams – NXT Championship Match
The biggest story in NXT right now is the meteoric rise of Dante Chen, the Singaporean sensation who captured the NXT Championship in a brutal ladder match last month. Chen’s ruthless aggression and high-flying arsenal have made him one of the most dominant champions in recent memory, but his toughest test yet comes in the form of Trick Williams.
Williams, a fan favorite with undeniable charisma and explosive in-ring ability, has clawed his way to the top of the division. After a series of hard-fought victories, he finally earned his shot at gold. But Chen is not one to back down—his recent attacks on Williams, including a brutal post-match assault two weeks ago, prove that he’ll do anything to keep his title.
What to Expect:
- A potential show-stealing performance from both men
- Outside interference from Chen’s allies (or even a surprise return)
- A possible title change if Williams can withstand Chen’s vicious offense
Prediction: Dante Chen retains, but not without controversy.
⚔️ Grudge Match: Roxanne Perez vs. Lash Legend – No Disqualification
The rivalry between Roxanne Perez and Lash Legend has been one of the most personal feuds in NXT. After weeks of sneak attacks, verbal jabs, and backstage brawls, these two warriors will finally settle their score in a No Disqualification Match.
Perez, the ultimate underdog, has fought tooth and nail to prove she won’t be bullied by the towering powerhouse that is Lash Legend. Meanwhile, Legend has made it clear that she sees Perez as nothing more than an obstacle in her path to dominance.
What to Expect:
- Weapons, tables, and high-risk spots—this will be a war
- A potential surprise debut or interference (could we see someone like Cora Jade return?)
- A star-making performance from Perez, win or lose
Prediction: Roxanne Perez pulls off the upset after a brutal battle.
💥 Tag Team Turmoil: The Dyad vs. Chase U – NXT Tag Team Titles on the Line
The NXT Tag Team Championships will be defended as The Dyad (Rip Fowler & Jagger Reid) put their titles on the line against the beloved Chase U (Duke Hudson & Riley Osborne).
The Dyad’s mind games and ruthless tactics have made them one of the most hated duos in NXT, while Chase U’s underdog spirit has won them a massive fan following. With Andre Chase at ringside, could this be the night the academic underdogs finally claim gold?
What to Expect:
- High-energy double-team maneuvers from both teams
- Possible outside shenanigans from The Dyad
- A shocking turn—could someone from Chase U snap?
Prediction: The Dyad retains, but Chase U proves they belong in the title picture.
🌟 Breakout Star Showcase: Kelani Jordan vs. Izzi Dame
Two of NXT’s fastest-rising stars collide as Kelani Jordan takes on Izzi Dame in a match that could determine the next challenger for the NXT Women’s Championship.
Jordan’s athleticism and high-flying style have made her a standout, while Dame’s hard-hitting, no-nonsense approach has quickly established her as a future champion. With the NXT Women’s division more competitive than ever, this is a must-win for both competitors.
What to Expect:
- A technical and high-flying masterclass
- Potential post-match angle involving the Women’s Champion
- A breakout performance from the winner
Prediction: Izzi Dame wins decisively, setting her up for a title shot.
🔮 Other Key Segments & Surprises to Watch For

Since losing the NXT Championship, Carmelo Hayes has been on a warpath. Will he address the NXT Universe tonight? A potential new rivalry could be brewing.
2. Bron Breakker’s Return?
The former NXT Champion has been absent since his brutal last-man-standing match. Could the wolfhound make his return to shake up the main event scene?
3. Ava’s Authority Test
With Ava (formerly of Schism) now in a power position as NXT’s authority figure, will she make a major announcement? Or will a new faction emerge under her guidance?
4. Surprise Debuts
NXT is known for shocking arrivals. Could we see a new signee from the Performance Center or even a main roster call-up?

Final Thoughts: Why You Can’t Miss NXT This Week
With championship clashes, grudge matches, and potential surprises, NXT on May 13, 2025, is shaping up to be one of the most pivotal episodes of the year. Will Dante Chen continue his reign of terror? Can Roxanne Perez overcome the towering Lash Legend? And what shocking moments will unfold?
One thing is certain: The future of WWE will be written tonight.
Very good show
I think his Ic run being so long hurt him as a credible world champion. It’s like he fought all the same guys and crushed them for a mid card belt now we are supposed to believe they are an actual challenge to him as a world champion? Lol when they took the intercontinental title off of him they should have moved him to SmackDown and put a new list of challengers in front of him. And moved Cody and the WWE championship to raw
Very good episode,
imagine being deluded enough to think a multi billion dollar company with guys who literally have wrestling in their blood hot shoted a heel turn storyline because they booked themselves into a corner. are you serious dude? that is the most ridiculous thing i have read in a minute lol. good luck bro.
Great episode.
Punk/Cody was there for the taking and Cena could’ve gone up against Gunther.
They knee jerked a heel turn because they booked themselves into a nepotism corner
Very good show
honestly don’t get the hate. like sure, there’s no major story here YET. But Punk/Rollins/Reigns has a lot of potential to be a high quality match. I’m legit looking forward to it and love that these three have wound up in a match together.
Great episode.
The triple threat match between them at Wrestlemania is gonna be awesome. Super stoked for this match
Great show
Let’s mention the women’s match in every live/hate challenge. Easiest task for this group of “journalists” ever. Each one of these love/hates are more embarrassing than the last. We get it, women’s wrestling is amazing and should main event every show and if a women’s match is bad it’s because where it is on the card or the booking it’s never the talent, all the women are top tier wrestlers.
Very good show
You wanna find out who the real simps and shills are? Mark down anybody who defends that main event match! Even the diehard AEW fans are crapping on that main event. It was terrible.
This Moxley stuff is stinking out the entire show and the dude seems to think he is Brock Lesnar.
The sad part is that this wasn’t a terrible show overall and with all things taken into an account. But at the end of the day, a bad ending can ruin a whole show for a lot of people. “Game of Thrones season 8” style.
Great show
So the crux of it all is that the PLE started strong…then ended with a sour belch.
The fans most remember how you left them and the fans are going to remember this show with a resounding “bleh”!
And any casual fan who watched with their buddies who are more diehard fans, may have left the viewing saying aloud, “That guy was pretty good. He should go to WWE”.
Great show.
I’ve said before but I think one of the issues here is that Tony is a massive fan of NJPW and often looks to emulate their PPV card structure. NJPW cards typically build to a climax with the big matches back to back and tend not to feature cool down matches or spots. Problem is western audiences haven’t been conditioned for that over the last 40 years, so often results in burnout. Personally I would have laid out the card like below giving breathing spaces, opening with the Steel Cage match and building to the Hollywood Ending as the main event.
Storm vs. May
Mox vs. Cope
Hangman vs. MJF
Hurt Syndicate vs. Outrunners
Takeshita vs. Omega
Swerve vs. Ricochet
Okada vs. King
Mone vs. Watanabe
Ospreay vs. Fletcher
Great episode.
Very good show, but the ending is what people remember. WWE ended Elimination Chamber with a huge heel turn. AEW ended Revolution with that abominable ending.
it doesn’t totally undo a great show, but it might have done more harm than good.
Very good show
I can already see Trips the mark statues, Trips the mark with a 20 minutes speech, the camera focusing onTrips the mark every 30 seconds when he is on the crowd.
Great show.
I’m glad they are bringing it back to a nice venue. The idea of hosting it immediately after Smackdown is insane. Why not put a highlight show or broadcast the Hall of Fame instead of airing Smackdown that week.
best of the best
Very good show tonight

Really don’t like that it’s the Women’s NXT North American Championship.
Really don’t like that it’s the Women’s NXT North American Championship. Besides being an awkward mouthful, it’s too derivative of Men’s midcard title.
