By [Watch Wrestling] – The Authority on Ring of Honor Wrestling
The air is electric, the stakes are sky-high, and the ring is set for another unforgettable night of ROH Wrestling Live on May 23rd, 2025! This is not just another show—this is a battleground where legacies are forged, rivalries explode, and champions are tested like never before.
From brutal grudge matches to high-stakes title defenses, the card for this event is stacked with enough intensity to leave fans breathless. Whether you’re tuning in live or watching from home, one thing is certain: This is ROH at its finest—hard-hitting, no-nonsense, pure professional wrestling.
So, let’s break it down. Here’s your ultimate, in-depth preview for ROH Wrestling Live – May 23rd, 2025!
MAIN EVENT: ROH WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP – “THE KINGPIN” DEFENDS AGAINST THE REVOLUTIONARY
ROH World Champion [Champion’s Name] (c) vs. [Challenger’s Name]
The main event is a collision of two of ROH’s most dominant forces. The reigning ROH World Champion, known for his ruthless tactics and undeniable dominance, steps into the ring against a challenger who has been building a revolution within ROH.
- The Champion’s Path: With a vise-like grip on the title, the champion has crushed every opponent in his way. Whether through sheer power or underhanded tactics, he’s proven why he’s the top dog in ROH.
- The Challenger’s Rise: The challenger, a fan favorite with a relentless fighting spirit, has clawed his way to this moment. After a series of brutal victories, this is his one shot at glory—and he’s not leaving without gold.
Prediction: This will be a war. Expect near-falls, outside brawls, and possibly even interference from the champion’s allies. But if the challenger can weather the storm, we may witness a historic title change that reshapes ROH’s future.
SEMI-MAIN EVENT: GRUDGE MATCH – YEARS OF HATRED COME TO A HEAD
[Wrestler A] vs. [Wrestler B] – NO HOLDS BARRED
This isn’t just a match—it’s personal. Months (maybe even years) of betrayals, sneak attacks, and brutal beatdowns have led to this moment. Both competitors have sworn to end the other’s career, and with No Holds Barred rules, there are no limits to the destruction they can unleash.
- The History: From backstage assaults to stolen victories, this feud has been one of ROH’s most vicious.
- The Stakes: Pride, revenge, and possibly even a future title opportunity hang in the balance.
Prediction: Weapons, blood, and absolute chaos. This will be a match of the year contender, with both men leaving everything in the ring.
ROH WOMEN’S WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP – A TEST OF HEART VS. SKILL
ROH Women’s World Champion [Champion’s Name] (c) vs. [Challenger’s Name]
The women of ROH continue to prove why they’re some of the best wrestlers on the planet, and this title match is no exception. The champion, a technical mastermind, faces a challenger who brings unmatched intensity and heart.
- Champion’s Strategy: Precision strikes, submissions, and ring IQ make her nearly unbeatable.
- Challenger’s Wildcard: She’s unpredictable, explosive, and willing to take insane risks to win.
Prediction: A show-stealing performance that could go either way. If the challenger can push the pace and avoid the champion’s traps, we might see a new era in ROH’s women’s division.
TAG TEAM TURMOIL – WHO WILL EMERGE AS THE NEXT CONTENDERS?
[Team 1] vs. [Team 2] vs. [Team 3] – #1 CONTENDERS TRIANGLE MATCH
The ROH Tag Team division is stacked, and this triple threat match will determine who gets the next shot at the gold. Each team brings a unique style:
- Team 1: High-flying, fast-paced offense.
- Team 2: Brutal, smash-mouth brawlers.
- Team 3: Tactical, methodical, and always one step ahead.
Prediction: Expect dives, double teams, and pure chaos. The winning team will be one step closer to tag team glory.
BREAKOUT STAR ALERT – THE FUTURE OF ROH STEPS UP
[Rising Star] vs. [Veteran Opponent]
Every great ROH event features a breakout performance, and this could be it for one of ROH’s brightest young stars. Facing a seasoned veteran, this is the ultimate proving ground.
- The Story: Can the young gun hang with the best, or will experience prevail?
- Why It Matters: A win here could catapult the rising star into title contention.
Prediction: A hard-fought battle, with the veteran testing the newcomer’s limits. But if the rookie can pull off the upset, the ROH landscape could shift dramatically.
UNDERCARD SHOWSTEALERS – DON’T SLEEP ON THESE MATCHES!
Six-Man Mayhem – High-Stakes Showdown
A fast-paced, high-octane match featuring six of ROH’s most exciting competitors. Expect dives, near-falls, and non-stop action.
Pure Rules Showcase – Technical Brilliance on Display
For the purists, this match will be a masterclass in wrestling technique.

Very good show
I think his Ic run being so long hurt him as a credible world champion. It’s like he fought all the same guys and crushed them for a mid card belt now we are supposed to believe they are an actual challenge to him as a world champion? Lol when they took the intercontinental title off of him they should have moved him to SmackDown and put a new list of challengers in front of him. And moved Cody and the WWE championship to raw
Very good episode,
imagine being deluded enough to think a multi billion dollar company with guys who literally have wrestling in their blood hot shoted a heel turn storyline because they booked themselves into a corner. are you serious dude? that is the most ridiculous thing i have read in a minute lol. good luck bro.
Great episode.
Punk/Cody was there for the taking and Cena could’ve gone up against Gunther.
They knee jerked a heel turn because they booked themselves into a nepotism corner
Very good show
honestly don’t get the hate. like sure, there’s no major story here YET. But Punk/Rollins/Reigns has a lot of potential to be a high quality match. I’m legit looking forward to it and love that these three have wound up in a match together.
Great episode.
The triple threat match between them at Wrestlemania is gonna be awesome. Super stoked for this match
Great show
Let’s mention the women’s match in every live/hate challenge. Easiest task for this group of “journalists” ever. Each one of these love/hates are more embarrassing than the last. We get it, women’s wrestling is amazing and should main event every show and if a women’s match is bad it’s because where it is on the card or the booking it’s never the talent, all the women are top tier wrestlers.
Very good show
You wanna find out who the real simps and shills are? Mark down anybody who defends that main event match! Even the diehard AEW fans are crapping on that main event. It was terrible.
This Moxley stuff is stinking out the entire show and the dude seems to think he is Brock Lesnar.
The sad part is that this wasn’t a terrible show overall and with all things taken into an account. But at the end of the day, a bad ending can ruin a whole show for a lot of people. “Game of Thrones season 8” style.
Great show
So the crux of it all is that the PLE started strong…then ended with a sour belch.
The fans most remember how you left them and the fans are going to remember this show with a resounding “bleh”!
And any casual fan who watched with their buddies who are more diehard fans, may have left the viewing saying aloud, “That guy was pretty good. He should go to WWE”.
Great show.
I’ve said before but I think one of the issues here is that Tony is a massive fan of NJPW and often looks to emulate their PPV card structure. NJPW cards typically build to a climax with the big matches back to back and tend not to feature cool down matches or spots. Problem is western audiences haven’t been conditioned for that over the last 40 years, so often results in burnout. Personally I would have laid out the card like below giving breathing spaces, opening with the Steel Cage match and building to the Hollywood Ending as the main event.
Storm vs. May
Mox vs. Cope
Hangman vs. MJF
Hurt Syndicate vs. Outrunners
Takeshita vs. Omega
Swerve vs. Ricochet
Okada vs. King
Mone vs. Watanabe
Ospreay vs. Fletcher
Great episode.
Very good show, but the ending is what people remember. WWE ended Elimination Chamber with a huge heel turn. AEW ended Revolution with that abominable ending.
it doesn’t totally undo a great show, but it might have done more harm than good.
Very good show
I can already see Trips the mark statues, Trips the mark with a 20 minutes speech, the camera focusing onTrips the mark every 30 seconds when he is on the crowd.
Great show.
I’m glad they are bringing it back to a nice venue. The idea of hosting it immediately after Smackdown is insane. Why not put a highlight show or broadcast the Hall of Fame instead of airing Smackdown that week.
best of the best
Very good show tonight

Really don’t like that it’s the Women’s NXT North American Championship.
Really don’t like that it’s the Women’s NXT North American Championship. Besides being an awkward mouthful, it’s too derivative of Men’s midcard title.
