The UFC returns to London on March 22, 2025, and fight fans around the globe are buzzing with anticipation. The O2 Arena will once again play host to one of the most electrifying events in combat sports, as Leon “Rocky” Edwards defends his welterweight throne against the surging Sean Brady in a main event that promises fireworks. This isn’t just another fight night—this is a spectacle, a cultural event, and a proving ground for two warriors at the peak of their powers.
In this preview, we’ll break down the main event, explore the stacked card, and delve into the stories that make UFC Fight Night London a must-watch event. From the technical mastery of Edwards to the relentless pressure of Brady, this is a fight that could redefine the welterweight division. So, grab your popcorn, settle in, and let’s dive into the heart of the action.
The Main Event: Leon Edwards vs. Sean Brady – A Battle for Welterweight Supremacy
Leon Edwards, the pride of Birmingham, England, has cemented himself as one of the most dominant champions in UFC history. With a record of 22-3-1, Edwards has proven time and time again that he belongs among the elite. His striking is crisp, his grappling is underrated, and his fight IQ is second to none. After dethroning Kamaru Usman in one of the most iconic knockouts in UFC history, Edwards has successfully defended his title twice, silencing doubters and solidifying his legacy.
But standing across the Octagon on March 22nd will be Sean Brady, a man on a mission. Brady, undefeated at 17-0, is the epitome of a rising star. With a relentless grappling game and ever-improving striking, Brady has bulldozed his way through the welterweight division. Wins over the likes of Vicente Luque and Belal Muhammad have earned him this shot at gold, and he’s determined to make the most of it.
Stylistic Breakdown
This fight is a classic striker vs. grappler matchup, but with a twist. Edwards is no slouch on the ground, and Brady has shown significant improvements in his striking. Edwards will look to keep the fight standing, using his pinpoint accuracy and footwork to pick Brady apart. His ability to control distance and land devastating combinations will be key.
On the other hand, Brady will aim to close the distance, clinch, and take Edwards down. His top control is suffocating, and his submission game is lethal. If he can drag Edwards into deep waters, he has the tools to drown the champion.
X-Factors
- Edwards’ Home Crowd Advantage: Fighting in front of a raucous London crowd could give Edwards an extra boost of energy. The O2 Arena will be electric, and Brady will need to block out the noise.
- Brady’s Mental Edge: Being undefeated brings a certain level of confidence. Brady has never tasted defeat, and that invincibility could play a psychological role.
- Championship Experience: Edwards has been here before. He knows what it takes to win at the highest level, and that experience could be the difference-maker.
Prediction
This is a tough one to call. Edwards’ striking and championship pedigree make him the favorite, but Brady’s grappling and undefeated record cannot be ignored. If Edwards can keep the fight standing and avoid Brady’s takedowns, he’ll likely retain his title. However, if Brady can impose his will on the ground, we could be looking at a new welterweight champion.
The Co-Main Event: Tom Aspinall vs. Ciryl Gane – Heavyweight Fireworks
The co-main event features a clash of heavyweight titans as England’s own Tom Aspinall takes on France’s Ciryl Gane. Aspinall, with a record of 15-3, is one of the most dynamic heavyweights in the world. His speed, power, and technical prowess make him a nightmare matchup for anyone.
Gane, meanwhile, is a former interim champion with a record of 13-2. Known for his slick striking and movement, Gane is looking to rebound from a recent loss and re-establish himself as a title contender.
What to Expect
This fight has all the makings of a classic. Aspinall’s aggression and power will be tested against Gane’s precision and footwork. If Aspinall can close the distance and land his heavy shots, he could end the fight early. But if Gane can keep the fight at range and pick Aspinall apart, he could cruise to a decision victory.
The Rest of the Card: A Night of Must-See Fights
The UFC has stacked the card with exciting matchups that promise to deliver non-stop action. Here are some of the highlights:
- Paddy Pimblett vs. Drew Dober – Lightweight Showdown
Paddy “The Baddy” Pimblett returns to action against the always-dangerous Drew Dober. Pimblett’s charisma and grappling will be put to the test against Dober’s knockout power. - Molly McCann vs. Joanne Wood – Flyweight Battle
“Meatball” Molly McCann looks to thrill her hometown crowd against the seasoned Joanne Wood. Expect a war on the feet. - Arnold Allen vs. Movsar Evloev – Featherweight Contender Fight
Two of the division’s best go head-to-head in a fight that could have title implications. - Paul Craig vs. Alonzo Menifield – Light Heavyweight Clash
Submission specialist Paul Craig takes on knockout artist Alonzo Menifield in a classic grappler vs. striker matchup.
The Atmosphere: Why UFC London is Special

Very good show
I think his Ic run being so long hurt him as a credible world champion. It’s like he fought all the same guys and crushed them for a mid card belt now we are supposed to believe they are an actual challenge to him as a world champion? Lol when they took the intercontinental title off of him they should have moved him to SmackDown and put a new list of challengers in front of him. And moved Cody and the WWE championship to raw
Very good episode,
imagine being deluded enough to think a multi billion dollar company with guys who literally have wrestling in their blood hot shoted a heel turn storyline because they booked themselves into a corner. are you serious dude? that is the most ridiculous thing i have read in a minute lol. good luck bro.
Great episode.
Punk/Cody was there for the taking and Cena could’ve gone up against Gunther.
They knee jerked a heel turn because they booked themselves into a nepotism corner
Very good show
honestly don’t get the hate. like sure, there’s no major story here YET. But Punk/Rollins/Reigns has a lot of potential to be a high quality match. I’m legit looking forward to it and love that these three have wound up in a match together.
Great episode.
The triple threat match between them at Wrestlemania is gonna be awesome. Super stoked for this match
Great show
Let’s mention the women’s match in every live/hate challenge. Easiest task for this group of “journalists” ever. Each one of these love/hates are more embarrassing than the last. We get it, women’s wrestling is amazing and should main event every show and if a women’s match is bad it’s because where it is on the card or the booking it’s never the talent, all the women are top tier wrestlers.
Very good show
You wanna find out who the real simps and shills are? Mark down anybody who defends that main event match! Even the diehard AEW fans are crapping on that main event. It was terrible.
This Moxley stuff is stinking out the entire show and the dude seems to think he is Brock Lesnar.
The sad part is that this wasn’t a terrible show overall and with all things taken into an account. But at the end of the day, a bad ending can ruin a whole show for a lot of people. “Game of Thrones season 8” style.
Great show
So the crux of it all is that the PLE started strong…then ended with a sour belch.
The fans most remember how you left them and the fans are going to remember this show with a resounding “bleh”!
And any casual fan who watched with their buddies who are more diehard fans, may have left the viewing saying aloud, “That guy was pretty good. He should go to WWE”.
Great show.
I’ve said before but I think one of the issues here is that Tony is a massive fan of NJPW and often looks to emulate their PPV card structure. NJPW cards typically build to a climax with the big matches back to back and tend not to feature cool down matches or spots. Problem is western audiences haven’t been conditioned for that over the last 40 years, so often results in burnout. Personally I would have laid out the card like below giving breathing spaces, opening with the Steel Cage match and building to the Hollywood Ending as the main event.
Storm vs. May
Mox vs. Cope
Hangman vs. MJF
Hurt Syndicate vs. Outrunners
Takeshita vs. Omega
Swerve vs. Ricochet
Okada vs. King
Mone vs. Watanabe
Ospreay vs. Fletcher
Great episode.
Very good show, but the ending is what people remember. WWE ended Elimination Chamber with a huge heel turn. AEW ended Revolution with that abominable ending.
it doesn’t totally undo a great show, but it might have done more harm than good.
Very good show
I can already see Trips the mark statues, Trips the mark with a 20 minutes speech, the camera focusing onTrips the mark every 30 seconds when he is on the crowd.
Great show.
I’m glad they are bringing it back to a nice venue. The idea of hosting it immediately after Smackdown is insane. Why not put a highlight show or broadcast the Hall of Fame instead of airing Smackdown that week.
best of the best
Very good show tonight
