WWE’s Greatest Moments Live: A Night of Legends, Rivalries, and Unforgettable Spectacle – March 16, 2025 Live Preview
The WWE Universe is buzzing with anticipation as the clock ticks down to one of the most electrifying events in sports entertainment history: WWE’s Greatest Moments Live. On March 16, 2025, the world will witness a night where the past, present, and future of WWE collide in a spectacle unlike any other. This isn’t just another pay-per-view; it’s a celebration of the moments that have defined WWE, brought to life by the superstars who made them iconic.
From jaw-dropping returns to dream matches, from emotional reunions to high-stakes showdowns, Greatest Moments Live promises to be a night that will be etched into the annals of WWE history. So, let’s dive deep into what makes this event so special, what we can expect, and why this is a can’t-miss spectacle for every wrestling fan.
The Concept: Reliving WWE’s Greatest Hits
WWE has always been about storytelling, larger-than-life characters, and moments that leave fans talking for decades. Greatest Moments Live is the ultimate tribute to that legacy. The event is designed to recreate some of the most iconic moments in WWE history, but with a twist: the superstars of today will step into the shoes of legends, reimagining these moments for a new generation.
Imagine The Rock’s electrifying promos, Stone Cold Steve Austin’s beer-soaked rampages, or the Undertaker’s legendary WrestleMania streak—all brought to life with a modern flair. But it’s not just about nostalgia; it’s about honoring the past while pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in the ring today.
The Stage: A Spectacle Fit for Legends
The event will take place at the state-of-the-art SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, California, a venue that has hosted some of the biggest events in entertainment and sports. With a seating capacity of over 70,000, the stadium will be transformed into a WWE wonderland, complete with pyrotechnics, cutting-edge lighting, and a stage design that pays homage to WWE’s rich history.
Fans in attendance and those watching from home can expect a visual feast, with larger-than-life video packages, holographic tributes to legends, and interactive elements that make the audience feel like they’re part of the action.
The Matches: Dream Encounters and Iconic Recreations
While the full card is still under wraps, WWE has teased several matches and segments that are sure to set the wrestling world on fire. Here’s a sneak peek at what we can expect:
1. The Rock vs. Roman Reigns: The Final Chapter
The Bloodline saga has been one of the most compelling storylines in recent WWE history, and it’s only fitting that it reaches its climax at Greatest Moments Live. The Rock, who returned to WWE in 2024 to confront his cousin Roman Reigns, will face off against the Tribal Chief in a match that promises to be an instant classic.
This isn’t just a battle for supremacy; it’s a clash of ideologies. The Rock represents the Attitude Era, a time when WWE was at its most rebellious and unpredictable. Roman Reigns, on the other hand, embodies the modern era, where storytelling and character development reign supreme. The stakes couldn’t be higher, and the outcome will shape the future of WWE.
2. Stone Cold Steve Austin’s Open Challenge
The Texas Rattlesnake is back, and he’s issuing an open challenge to any superstar brave enough to step into the ring with him. Stone Cold’s return has sent shockwaves through the WWE Universe, and fans are speculating about who will answer the call. Will it be a rising star looking to make a name for themselves? Or will it be a veteran looking to relive their glory days?
One thing’s for sure: when the glass shatters and Stone Cold’s music hits, the crowd will erupt in a way that only WWE fans can.
3. The Undertaker’s Last Ride
The Deadman has been a cornerstone of WWE for over three decades, and while he officially retired in 2020, rumors of one final match have been swirling for years. At Greatest Moments Live, The Undertaker will step into the ring one last time to face a mystery opponent.
Who will it be? Could it be Bray Wyatt, the man who carried on The Undertaker’s supernatural legacy? Or perhaps it’s a younger superstar like Bron Breakker, looking to cement their place in WWE history by retiring a legend? Whatever the case, this match will be a emotional rollercoaster for fans who have followed The Undertaker’s storied career.
4. Women’s Revolution: Four Horsewomen Fatal 4-Way
The women’s division has come a long way since the days of bra-and-panties matches, and Greatest Moments Live will showcase just how far it’s come. Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks, and Bayley—the Four Horsewomen of WWE—will face off in a Fatal 4-Way match that promises to be a show-stealer.
These four women have been at the forefront of the Women’s Revolution, and their rivalry has produced some of the most memorable moments in recent WWE history. With all four at the top of their game, this match could very well be the highlight of the night.
5. John Cena vs. Cody Rhodes: Legacy vs. Redemption
John Cena, the face of WWE for over a decade, will go one-on-one with Cody Rhodes, the man who left WWE to prove himself and returned as a conquering hero. This match is a clash of two very different philosophies: Cena’s unwavering loyalty to WWE and Rhodes’ belief in forging his own path.
Both men have a lot to prove, and the outcome of this match could have far-reaching implications for the future of WWE.
The Surprises: Expect the Unexpected
If there’s one thing WWE is known for, it’s pulling off surprises that leave fans speechless. Greatest Moments Live will be no exception. Rumors are swirling about potential returns, shocking twists, and moments that will have the WWE Universe talking for years to come.
Could we see the return of CM Punk, who has been teasing a comeback for months? Or perhaps a surprise appearance by Brock Lesnar, who has been absent from WWE programming since his loss to Gunther at WrestleMania 41? Whatever the case, fans can expect the unexpected.
The Legacy: A Night to Remember
Greatest Moments Live isn’t just an event; it’s a celebration of everything that makes WWE special. It’s a reminder of why we fell in love with wrestling in the first place: the larger-than-life characters, the unforgettable moments, and the sense of community that comes from being part of the WWE Universe.
As we count down the days to March 16, 2025, one thing is clear: this is a night that will go down in history. Whether you’re a lifelong fan or a newcomer to the world of WWE, Greatest Moments Live is an event you won’t want to miss.
So mark your calendars, set your reminders, and get ready for a night of legends, rivalries, and unforgettable spectacle. The WWE Universe will never be the same.
Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to the event. Who do you think will steal the show at Greatest Moments Live? Let us know in the comments below!
Very good show
I think his Ic run being so long hurt him as a credible world champion. It’s like he fought all the same guys and crushed them for a mid card belt now we are supposed to believe they are an actual challenge to him as a world champion? Lol when they took the intercontinental title off of him they should have moved him to SmackDown and put a new list of challengers in front of him. And moved Cody and the WWE championship to raw
Very good episode,
imagine being deluded enough to think a multi billion dollar company with guys who literally have wrestling in their blood hot shoted a heel turn storyline because they booked themselves into a corner. are you serious dude? that is the most ridiculous thing i have read in a minute lol. good luck bro.
Great episode.
Punk/Cody was there for the taking and Cena could’ve gone up against Gunther.
They knee jerked a heel turn because they booked themselves into a nepotism corner
Very good show
honestly don’t get the hate. like sure, there’s no major story here YET. But Punk/Rollins/Reigns has a lot of potential to be a high quality match. I’m legit looking forward to it and love that these three have wound up in a match together.
Great episode.
The triple threat match between them at Wrestlemania is gonna be awesome. Super stoked for this match
Great show
Let’s mention the women’s match in every live/hate challenge. Easiest task for this group of “journalists” ever. Each one of these love/hates are more embarrassing than the last. We get it, women’s wrestling is amazing and should main event every show and if a women’s match is bad it’s because where it is on the card or the booking it’s never the talent, all the women are top tier wrestlers.
Very good show
You wanna find out who the real simps and shills are? Mark down anybody who defends that main event match! Even the diehard AEW fans are crapping on that main event. It was terrible.
This Moxley stuff is stinking out the entire show and the dude seems to think he is Brock Lesnar.
The sad part is that this wasn’t a terrible show overall and with all things taken into an account. But at the end of the day, a bad ending can ruin a whole show for a lot of people. “Game of Thrones season 8” style.
Great show
So the crux of it all is that the PLE started strong…then ended with a sour belch.
The fans most remember how you left them and the fans are going to remember this show with a resounding “bleh”!
And any casual fan who watched with their buddies who are more diehard fans, may have left the viewing saying aloud, “That guy was pretty good. He should go to WWE”.
Great show.
I’ve said before but I think one of the issues here is that Tony is a massive fan of NJPW and often looks to emulate their PPV card structure. NJPW cards typically build to a climax with the big matches back to back and tend not to feature cool down matches or spots. Problem is western audiences haven’t been conditioned for that over the last 40 years, so often results in burnout. Personally I would have laid out the card like below giving breathing spaces, opening with the Steel Cage match and building to the Hollywood Ending as the main event.
Storm vs. May
Mox vs. Cope
Hangman vs. MJF
Hurt Syndicate vs. Outrunners
Takeshita vs. Omega
Swerve vs. Ricochet
Okada vs. King
Mone vs. Watanabe
Ospreay vs. Fletcher
Great episode.
Very good show, but the ending is what people remember. WWE ended Elimination Chamber with a huge heel turn. AEW ended Revolution with that abominable ending.
it doesn’t totally undo a great show, but it might have done more harm than good.
Very good show
I can already see Trips the mark statues, Trips the mark with a 20 minutes speech, the camera focusing onTrips the mark every 30 seconds when he is on the crowd.
Great show.
I’m glad they are bringing it back to a nice venue. The idea of hosting it immediately after Smackdown is insane. Why not put a highlight show or broadcast the Hall of Fame instead of airing Smackdown that week.
best of the best
Very good show tonight

Really don’t like that it’s the Women’s NXT North American Championship.
Really don’t like that it’s the Women’s NXT North American Championship. Besides being an awkward mouthful, it’s too derivative of Men’s midcard title.
