Liv Morgan Defeats Stephanie Vaquer to Capture Women’s World Championship at WWE WrestleMania 42
At WWE WrestleMania 42, Liv Morgan secured her third reign as Women’s World Champion by pinning Stephanie Vaquer.
For her grand entrance, Morgan lip-synced to her new song “Trouble,” accompanied by backup dancers. Vaquer then made her own dramatic arrival, showering the arena in a wave of red confetti.
The match began with intense brawling right after the opening bell. Vaquer executed Devil’s Kiss, then hit a backbreaker, and even used Morgan’s own finishing move—ObLIVion—against her. Later, Morgan’s Judgment Day ally, Roxanne Perez, distracted the referee, allowing Raquel Rodriguez to position Vaquer across the ropes. That setup enabled Morgan to land an ObLIVion. Though Vaquer kicked out, she then took out both Perez and Rodriguez with a crossbody. Morgan followed up with a CodeBreaker and a final ObLIVion to seal the victory.
After the match, “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio handed Morgan the title, and she celebrated in the ring alongside Perez and Rodriguez.
Morgan earned this title opportunity by winning the 2026 Royal Rumble on her ninth attempt. Her previous Women’s World Title reign lasted 226 days. She is also a four-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion.
